I mean he's young so that's gonna play a big part. The more seasoned he gets and more opportunities to make big kicks the less he will feel that pressure. Can't compare a 20 year to a Gould
Unless his name is Brandon Aubrey
What game winning playoff kicks has he made so far? Purdy was pretty good in the playoffs last year and SB. We haven't seen Aubrey under big time pressure yet so idk.

Yeah that is an odd comparison.
I was disappointed he missed the kick against the Rams. I felt as a rookie he gets many passes and overall did well, but nothing beats the pressure of a SB which he now has under his belt so ....this is it kid, you either have it or you don't.

The stats say one of the best young kickers in the league. Which is what we thought he would be. But some people got it ingrained in their mind. That they didn't like this 3rd round pick. Really a compensatory 3rd which is like a 4th. It's not that bad. He makes most every FG. Has length. Puts most into the endzone for a touchback. Not allowing any returns. Pretty automatic on extra points. He missed one 55 yarder (not a gimmie). Because he had one rough preseason and was a 3rd round pick people wait to POUNCE. It's their preconceived ideas. But reality says he's been really good. No kicker is perfect. It just doesn't work that way. There is no objective measure where he is "bad" though. Just doesn't exist. Only in their heads in a world of their own....

Probably broke his ankle on that play. If so, it'll probably never be the same. I was a kicker when I played and experienced pain a long long time after recovering from breaking mine. It's never returned to 100%.

Blame it on whoever convinced him we should be kicking them into a return

Probably some of these SLUGS should actually make a tackle. Instead of waiting for your kicker to make the tackle. You guys will blame him for getting injured. Watch and see.
