How many game winning fgs is a kicker allowed to miss per season and still be considered elite?

How many has he missed this year? He's a second year kicker and you want him to be elite?

I know of at least 1.

Well given you can pick up a decent kicker off the street anytime. I expect elite results given his draft position immediately.

He needs to justify the pick.

To me losing a game a season off a kicker is acceptable. However any more than 1 game without the playoffs in unacceptable

The draft round reflects the team, not the player. Example- if a team drafts a guard at number 1 overall, is it on that guard to be the second coming of Larry Allen or the team first overvaluing the player?

Jake Moody should be good, better than average, because he was a draftable kicker. But the fact that he was taken in round 3 is on the team, not him.

We saw the decent kickers they picked up off the street. One couldn't reach the end zone so he was not likely to be goood from 50yards or more. The other had a history of missing extra points.
$10 says he will need to tackle the returner on his first kickoff back from injury.

The new kickoff rule started slowly but I've noticed that ore teams are getting long returns as they adapt to the change. It still looks weird to me when the kicker runs up and kicks the ball while everyone is standing still.

Moody has missed one 50+ Fg this season and made all his PATS. Plus he has to play safety on kickoff returns. Moody is the least of our problems.
Forgot this guy even existed. Already found 2 guys off the street that can do his job. What a waste of a draft pick

He hasn't missed any game winners this year.

He missed one try to date this season and it was VS the Rams. A 55 yard attempt with 6 minutes and 15 seconds left in the game and we were up 24-17 at that point.

Rams tied it up on their ensuing possession and we got the ball back with 1:51 left and a chance to win it. We ended up punting it back to LA after a 5 play series where they kicked a FG... we had one last possession with 2 seconds on the clock.

He missed 1 all year. Aubrey missed 2. Plus Moody usually gives you a touchback with the strong leg. Since our coverage is so horrific that helps a lot.

First guy can't kick deep on the kickoffs. You get returns which are big. Also can't hit deep FG's. 2nd guy misses all over the place. So no you can't get people who can do what he can do.

@ a slot valued as a usual 4th Rd. Pick. (#BecauseContext)

Let's stop pretending like this guy was a 60ish pick selection. He went 99th overall.

There's a little bit too much aggression with some of u regarding pick value for a guy that is clearly a starting FG kicker (for some team if not us) in the NFL.

Exactly this ^.

Moody hate is wild right now. He was rocky heading into the playoffs last year but he stepped up and did his job in the post season and on the biggest stage (minus a low PAT but that's also on the line to not let this guy go up and bat it).

He was really solid this season before going down. My only concern is if coming off the ankle is gonna mess with him in the early goings or beyond.

He's been great this year. It's just a matter of being healthy. I hope nothing is slightly lingering in there. Because that could effect him. So he needs to be fully healthy.
