We were winning games that season because of an elite defense and elite special teams (not even counting FG kicking). We have neither this year.

even his makes aren't clean that thing was hooking, and his miss landed in the parking lot, it went up the tunnel

Acho sounds like a puss. Hold your teammates accountable. Especially a kicker who is suppose to be amazing.

I have zero problem with this. Dude probably misses that last kick if Deebo didn't say lock it in and get your s**t straight. This isn't HS or college football. It's the NFL and you play a very replaceable position. We saw it when he was hurt.

If you watched the rest of this segment, every single other person didnt have an issue with what Deebo did (other than Chase not liking him putting hands on a teammate, but agreed with everything else).

You need a kicker once a year or so for a game winner.

If you need your kicker for 9 points during the game than your offense just sucks.

I don't know how else to say it.

If Moody would have made all of his kicks, we would have scored more points yesterday than what the highest scoring offense in the NFL averages.

So no, the offense didnt "just suck."

Jake had the yips this week and he needs to fix that.

Since last year he also has an issue with the right hash mark and he 'fades' all his kicks on the right side. Anyone that plays golf and can fade or draw a golf ball understands what I'm saying. If you tee up on the right side with b your body alignment it promotes a fade. He can't set up his normal way because if he hits a draw shot and it doesn't he's going to miss right everytime. I have not looked at the hash marks to compare with college but they must not be as spread from the center.

Truth bomb

No. Just No, If this was the case then most wins would be blow outs. 3 points compared to 0 points a couple of drives a game is a huge difference maker.
We are 28 out of 32 in red zone efficiency. Yes, just yes, we have a serious problem.

Did i say we don't have a redzone problem? No i did not.

Lets look at the Super Bowl winning Chiefs 2023 season. 7 games their kicker attempted 3 or more field goals including the Super Bowl. Does their offense suck to?

yeah kicker with the yips last year and now this year. he has to go. i never heard of a kicker with the yips. what happens if the yips strike deep in the playoffs. time to fix it is now

There's a reason why some of the best kickers are older. Lots of guys can crush a ball 65yards, but dealing with everything else seems to need mental toughness.

Also those ones have lasted and gone through the ups and downs. Wasn't the Atlanta kicker out of football for a while? Then came back recently. They all go through these ups and downs. Then rework stuff and hit some maturity and experience.

if we can just tread water until Moody is in his 30's, we should be ok.
Did we lynch him yet? Asking on behalf of the "faithful".

the older ones who still have jobs only have them cuz they are consistent. they don't get yips. if they did they wouldn't still be kicking. now i don't see Baltimore letting Tucker get to FA, or KC either. those guys you have to land em right away or not at all. i see the appeal of getting someone like a rookie Justin Tucker. you have a weapon at kicker for 10-15 seasons.
So we bringing back any of the kickers we picked when Moody was injured?
