We don't have that kind of time to wait. Next year is our year. Very similar to what happened to the Philadelphia Eagles last year. We have the players, just a down year and a ton of injuries, poor execution, as well as bad coaching (especially DC snd ST)

Is Kyle serious? He's worried he'll miss out on the next Graham Gano? Lol this is why you never draft kickers. Cut this kid already

I think he's saying what he has to, to just get through to the off season. There is no benefit to trashing the kicker now with games left, or being honest about any roster spot. The realities can be saved for the off season. I still think they move on, or at the very least bring in competition for Moody.

So what do we do? There's only one good FA K coming up, Eddie Pineiro. I doubt the FO wants 4-5 mil of cap space going to a K. And drafting one seems out of the question then if we want to compete, do we really want a rookie K?

I guess stick with him but as we've seen street FA kickers may be just as good or better

Let's hope so. A few teams have signed kickers from outside the NFL (Dallas) so let's hope they do their "due diligence" haha
I've been one of his biggest supporters. But we need competition there. I still think he can do it. But he has to be more consistent. Shany is right that he missed just 1 prior to the high ankle sprain. Plus they rushed him back. Maybe not completely healthy. Some were in the snow, ice and wind of Buffalo. Not really excusing it. But maybe some possible explanations as to why some things happened. I honestly don't think he's as bad as the misses this year. But he needs to be more consistent. Get healthy in the offseason and work on more consistency. With some competition brought in. Whoever wins out.
He's Kyle's guy.

It's possible that they bring in competition in the off-season and make him earn his spot for next season.

After another miss next year.
Missed a FG vs GB. Missed a FG vs Detroit. Had an XP blocked in the SB (look at the trajectory of that kick, it was terrible).

Missed a game winning FG @ Cleveland. Missed a game sealing FG @ LAR.

He also hit 2 50+ yarders in the SB. He's talented, but just not reliable at all. I rather have a guy that is lights out from 40-50 than Moody who might be able to hit a 58 yarder but is unreliable everywhere else.

All of this. It's too risky to keep him

Not too many options out there though.

He at least showed he can make big kicks in the playoffs and SB.

I trust him more than some K of the street to perform well under big pressure moments, for the first time in their career.
