Raiders drafted a kicker and punter in the 1st round each respectively. I guess it depends who they are and how good they are.

I was in favor of brining him in for open competition at least in the offseason but at this point it might be better just to cut him at the end of the year.

If his ankle is still an issue he should've been kept on the IR and should've kept someone else to kick.

But if you can't be trusted beyond 40 yards than you shouldn't be in the NFL and yes 51 yards used to be a long FG attempt but the kickers today don't have much issue hitting that range and for a guy that's supposed to have power it's pretty unacceptable.

I mean we ditched Gould in part because of cost but also in part because we wanted a more powerful kicker and all Moody has shown all he can do is kick the ball hard to miss the upgrights.

Only when you arent confident in your offense so you try to make up for it by bolstering your special teams unit
