I cannot defend him this year. Whether or not his mechanical issues are a result of him rushing back from an injury, something mental, or him just sucking down the stretch, I cannot say. But he missed far too many kicks this year for me to be comfortable bringing him back.

If he would have built even slightly on last season, I would want him back and actually feel confident he would become a very good kicker. But he majorly regressed and absolutely cannot be on the team next season.
Same here.. but most of his misses were slightly off.

Another shanahan coaching problem. You already knew when he choked away the one game in The regular season last year that if given more opportunities to choke away more games he would.

He needed to have his choke opportunities reduced this year but instead they were increased and the results were entirely predictable.

Another classic shanahan example of how he makes the choking situations for himself. When you have a Shakey kicker play more aggressive not less aggressive...

The entire play calling strategy with limited times in the first halves of games should have changed based on moody last year but it didn't. Same with the go for it calls...

Drives needed to be played and time managed like you had to have tds instead of fgs... We didn't see that.

I guess it just depends on whether you want to win games or not.

Fans were rightfully upset after he choked the year prior. IE you knew he might be a choker before the season even started.

You didnt know the season was lost until what week 5? Shanahan and co didn't even consider it lost until two weeks ago. So I guess if you don't want to win then don't adjust your gameplan at all.

The same way even after week 2 deebo was averaging 2 yards per carry on like 8 carries. But instead of just not handing him the ball you decide to waste 34 more plays handing it to him all seasons.

If you want to win then minimize moves that make you lose

you don't hide your kicker.. especially when the misses were so close. not sure what deebo has to do with this

plus a lot of clutch kickers were missing a lot more than they should this year. You don't hide the kicker unless they are truly just awful kicks.
