Simply follow the P situation. Mitch Wishnowsky was a "generational special teams weapon." Yet nobody else used a high pick on him. Not even Hoodie. Naturally if 2 or 3 players are coveted, the second one goes, the other must follow. No doubt had we waited until the 5th, Hoodie would have followed. But nobody but us prioritizes a P or PK that high.

That's not true. I remember the Patriots taking that Stanford punter Jake Bailey in the draft shortly after we took Wish. And the same reasoning was used taking Wish at that time, because they were afraid of someone else taking him before we pick again. Ironically, it's the same team with the Patriots as the team taking a kicker shortly after we took Moody lol. That said; I agree with you and would never draft a f**kin kicker or a punter before the 7th round

Again, we took Wishnowsky in the 4th so the Pats took Bailey in the 5th. 5th is normal. But no doubt they were pressed because of what we did in the 4th...overvalued a P.

I'm gonna be the NC for special teams.

Next year I'm looking for a kickoff specialist in the 2nd round and then long snapper backup behind Taybor in the first in 2025 draft(also hits OL for kicking NC so we're gonna be on the same page)

Can you get this team a few gunners and I need you to carve a roster spot specifically for a upback.

Meh, only reason Hoodie traded up was b/c our FO locked in on a freaking PK in the 3rd round. Like with Wishnowsky, had we waited until the 5th, Hoodie would have taken the better player in the 6th like he did with Jake Bailey.

Hoodie had free reign to trade up too for Moody as well. No chance.

You mean the guy that they ended up cutting?

Hoodie has higher standards. Wishnowsky is pretty average too.

I don't remember the last time Hoodie had a good draft; he's trash at drafting 😂

Having the GOAT at QB has a way of making your drafts look a lot better.

Has been for the last 10+ years, literally. If you go through most of his drafts in the last 20 years, almost all of them were poorly done. Very few of his picks have turned into good players.

he did best with cheap vet signings and Brady was so great. Belichick should of been pulled from being GM a long long time ago. He's a great coach but not at identifying talent

So justifying taking a punter or kicker early in the draft cause Hoodie did means….

If he's trash at drafting, and he wanted to draft Moody..

No….no it didn't. His drafts were still trash regardless lol. Having the GOAT at QB helped him to win despite it
