He hasn't even kicked at the NFL level yet lol.

He didn't say we had a good kicker for the next decade, just that we will have one. Lmao

lol you right.
I wonder what this thread will be like if he misses the first goal lol. Or if he kicks a 60 yarder. When he misses, "Moody blues"..when he strikes.."Money Moody" 💵
Bold prediction: Moody kicks the game winner on opening day at Pittsburgh.

If we can't outscore Pickett without it coming down to the wire, that'll be sad 😭. Haha nah I'm playing, you never know how the first few games go because it's so unpredictable that early.

i do anticipate us giving Pickett hell though. I think our defense does best against QBs like him.

just depends on who our qb is. I think if darnold or Lance starts, we will most likely get off to a slower start as they get more experience under them. If Purdy starts and doesn't have a good game - that'll be disappointing.

I see this happening only if he starts too early and is 100% healthy. I really am curious who will be the starter. I am thinking Lance starts with the pregames..and they will see how it goes after that. Probably putting Brock in to test it out and if he isn't ready, they will just keep on with Lance.

But back to Moody, will he have a theme song? Haha. "Kick start my ❤️" They play it everytime he goes to make a kick lolol

Yeah that was kind of my feeling, early season wonkyness.

Pittsburgh did win 7 of its last 9 games last year. Although against hardly any good teams. That said, there's no telling how much Pickett improves in his second season.

On paper, Pittsburgh doesn't seem like a powerful team but games obviously aren't won on paper.

Yeah, the Steelers are also a well coached team that usually drafts well.

i didn't really care for Pickett - I only felt like he was way over drafted and most of his play last season was crap-average. He had some nice plays here and there, but he was no Purdy!

i still can't believe Purdy lead all rookie QBs by only playing 6 games. Lol amazing

My younger brother is a huge Steelers fan and I gave him s**t non stop about how much better Purdy is than Pickett

There's no doubt I'm expecting a close up and down game on offense in Pittsburgh and wouldn't be surprised if we lost. It seems to be the norm with this team in September on offense, Pittsburgh does have weapons on offense that makes you open your eyes but at the end of the day our d should keep us in the game against Pickett and their oline which has gotten better tho on paper. If McKivitz ends up sucking ass Watt can single handedly wreck the game

Colton versus Watt is gonna be a huge match-up to watch for sure. If Brock isn't ready yet and McKivitz struggles, hopefully Trey has won the #2 job because some extra mobility and strength to shake off pass rushers is gonna be needed then.

I think either way, like you said we tend to start a little slow. I think we're gonna need Moody to be good early so we don't give any momentum the other way.

Very true!

Lol i feel like Pickett will heavily disappoint, especially if he's trying to replace a future HOF. Time will tell.

outside of Purdy, last years qb class was hot garbage, IMO. Lol
So the NFL just approved a new rule that allows teams to fair catch a kickoff and start at the 25 like it's a touchback. I wonder if that reduces the value of having a kicker that can reliably kick it into the endzone as most teams are probably just going to fair catch it either way.

The 25 is great field position either way. Why even risk it unless you are a team that has a proven dynamic returner and excellent move blockers.

Truth!

Every team we play will be attacking the right side often - w/rushes and blitzes.

Picket won't be any trouble once our D-Line attacks.

I'm sure Moody will have a bit of the jitters in the opener but will settle down and produce.
