He'll probably have a better career than most players drafted at #99. That's enough to justify the pick.
I'm not expecting him to perform like a hall of fame player right out of the gate, but ideally you'd like to see at least 80% for a rookie. I know Robbie was 75% as a rookie. I could live with that if there weren't a bunch of misses in critical moments.

Long term, obviously what you want is a clutch guy consistently hitting around 85-90% (or better)

with Kyle's ability to call bone-headed plays inside 15, I expect Booty Moody to hit 97% of his FGs and make All Rookie Team..

Who wants to bet he has a way bigger impact than Danny Gray or Ambry Thomas this year?

Or trey sermon or jalen Hurd or CJ Beathard ..
Booted a 55 yarder down the middle with plenty of room to spare today.
You might not like a kicker early in the draft....but anyone that lived though the Dennis Erickson years (4 losses that year to special teams with at least 2 being extra points/short FGs) would at least realize there is far worst that can happen to a team then drafting a kick.

Its just like long snappers....your season can be wrecked by anyone that regularly touches a football... you can at least accept draft capital being spent on them versus the alternative.....

The game has changed since Robbie was a rookie. Players wear helmets.

Good call man!
Hit a 60 yarder today. Right between Michael Strahan's front 2 teeth

3rd rounder? I hope he can punt too.

Early 4th.

The pick value was an early 4th.

With 32 given teams,...that's where pick #99 is.

I know you're not a math guy, but...

1-32 (1st Round)
2-64 (2nd Round)
65-96 (3rd Round)
97, 98, 99 (Early 4th)

I hate to spoil the "Oh Noez" party fun with the shock value of saying we used a 3rd rounder on a kicker,...

But once we account for the comp picks to push the actual rounds up a little, a high 4th was the value of pick #99.
Dang, that was smooth and effortless with room to spare for 60 yards.

It makes zero difference to me where he was selected.

What I care about is "Production."

If he makes a vast majority of his FG's then Yippee!
