rookie jitters, not worried the dude has a leg

We drafted him to not get jitters

doesnt matter it is probably going to happen, get it out now in preseason when it doesnt matter

#80 the GOAT had bad dropsys his rookie year and many thought he was a bust, but he got over it and turned out OK... Moody will as well

Justin Tucker was perfect in his rookie preseason.

Think River said the same thing about Lance his rookie yr lol? I don't. Now he's comping moody to Rice

It's a bad look for Moody and we should be concerned. I was wrong about JT, I took a guess.

He was 6 for 7 (last miss came in the last game), long of 53. 11 for 11 xp. 20 kickoffs, 8 touchbacks.

If you're drafting a kicker that high he's gotta be nails. We will see, there's a reason why most of the league is full or UDFA and late day 3 starting kickers.

hopefully moody will be fine. It's just weird everyone talks about SB or bust and we don't have time to develop so and so BUT yeah let's draft a kicker and toss him out to win playoff games and such
The 9ers will Insist on wasting draft picks.

Normally when you pick a Kicker this high, they should be someone ready to go right out the gate.

I once saw a really good kicker miss 4 kicks in a college game. No explanation for it. He just missed. It happens. Two misses hardly indicates a problem If he continues to have issues then that's a different story.

Sorry but it definitely matters. Unless you're gonna say his first time in the playoffs it's okay for him to get the jitters. His first time
in the Super Bowl jitters.

Seems like it didn't matter that there were goal post there when he was kicking it.

AGree, it's preseason, it doesn't count - wish it wasn't a miss to start off his career, but as you said - he better have the mental toughness to come back strong next week. Same with Trey Lance.

I am scared to death this guy is in Roberto Aguyo 2.0. That first miss should be automatic in the NFL. We are playing for a championship and misses a chip shot in a b******t preseason game, what happens in a road playoff game?

Lucky for us, one doesn't go from preseason straight to post season. So the kid has time to get right and find his confidence.

He didn't miss the extra point, but that was also not a good kick.

I thought I was the only one thinking that when it happened lol

No I thought that too. Resident kicking expert here as a guy who played the position and still like to go to the field in my thirties now to kick a few for fun.

The XP was ugly and hooking too. His, practice kicks have been clean, but his kicks yesterday were all terrible foot placement. Too far inside and too far outside.

So basically all of us did lol. It was one of those PATs, that gets wide of the post on the broadcast, not long after it goes thru. You don't want em doing that. A near miss.

Maybe that is the pressure he feels, an NFL fanbase judging his every move, plus he has millions of dollars, riding on these kicks. So there is a lot of pressure. But if he can't handle that pressure, than we don't want him as a kicker. That's what being a kicker is all about.

For sure, no one wants him to stink. He's also one of the highest drafted kickers in like a decade. All you gotta do is kick FGs, literally that's it lol
