Worried about this kid. It looks like he is already getting the yips. Hope he can pull through and get his confidence back.

Extra points should be automatic for every kicker in the NFL, let alone someone taken so high in the draft. Game winner was too close for comfort and it was a damn chip shot. Moody definitely has not inspired confidence these two weeks, but that said, something like that game winner could go a long way with confidence and completely change how this last preseason game goes and moving forward. Hopefully for the best
Extra points are 33 yards now, not 20 like they used to be. THOSE were automatic. It should still be made, don't get me wrong. But again he went 3/3 on field goals and made the game winner. Arrow up for sure.

Hate how we are so unconfident in him that we have to change gameplan to accommodate building a kickers confidence.
Should have let purdy work the 4th and short on the goal line. Also should have let lance go for the TD with the time we had instead of kneeling.
In a real game you go for both of those.

Post game interview with KS confirmed that the 49er DO NOT purposely kick the ball short in an attempt to pin the defense. They try to kick it out of the EZ every time. It's concerning to me that Moody kicked off a ball that was fielded (muffed) at the 20.

Maybe you could make an argument for the 4th and short, but in a real game Shanny would do exactly what he did at the end of the game - he'd make them burn their TO's, run down the clock, and take the W.

Yeah dude has to clean it up but end of the day it's good whether it's down the middle or just sneaks through.
Get any garbage out of the way in preseason and make them all count come real games.

Yeah that was the ONE thing was really hoping to have this year where we don't have to be worried about the other team returning the kick and getting great field position or a TD. Would rather them go the full field against our defense. If we don't have that, then I see adding Moody as a big downgrade from last year from our kicker.
