Deebo versus Aiyuk

Offseason be like this.
Gun to your head. You can only select one to move forward with. Consider playstyle and which WR would benefit more from the QB's skillset.
DEEVAH would not make it as WR alone.. so I have to go w/YUCK.
Deebo for me. He's an elite playmaker. I think Aiyuk has a good argument for being the better traditional receiver, at least in terms of route running, but I think replacing him would be much easier. Deebo is more of a unicorn player, and can have a larger impact on a game.

This is a good breakdown on who they are. As good as Aiyuk is, we haven't seen it yet- the dominating/take over a game type of performance. Especially when you need it.

I think the combo of Deebo/Kittle/CMC is going to be major trouble for the next 3 years because all 3 can go off.
Deevah will be good anywhere if they use him the way we do.. but he won't cut it if he lands on a team where he needs to be a WR.. for years, I've said that he's just another Percy Harvin w/much tighter screw on his head.. so basically, it all depends on what you need.

WR - then you go with YUCK

GADGET - no one is better than Deevah

Another thing with Deebo is the intangibles he brings in terms of toughness to the offense - that's a team identity. He is a proven ass kicker and DBs do not want to look silly getting trucked by him. Him and CMC's ability to be position-less is a major reason why this 49er offense is unique compared to other offenses.
I absolutely love Deebo, he is a hell of a gamer. Unfortunately, I think his playing style is going to lead to a life span of closer to a running back. I believe he has already missed multiple games, each year.
Gun to my head? I guess I would let Deebo have me

Wait what was the question?
I like Aiyuk the person more, but I like Deebo the player better.

I would go with Aiyuk because he can get separation with his route running alone. I love Deebo's energy but there isn't much he can do that CMC cannot in a dual threat role. It also seems like feast or famine with Deebo. Aiyuk is pretty damn steady and just needs more targets.

Disclaimer: I would like to be able to keep both for at least another 2 years.

Aiyuk.. Pure traditional WR with Probowl capability. Love Debo, but we have to manufacture ways to get him the ball. He has issues creating space and questionable hands. Dynamic play maker though.
Deebo all day. His energy and leadership is irreplaceable. He's literally Kyles Queen piece for his chess game. While having a great bishop like Aiyuk is amazing having teams confused by just our huddle is a clear advantage.

Deebo is the ultimate positionless player in a scheme that lives on that identity.

Aiyuk reminds me of a young Anquan Bolden. Great receiver but not the positionless identity.
Also, if you have Kyle as the HC, then you go w/Deevah... he's drafted only to run special plays for him... look how he used him on that 2nd half of the Rams (NFCCG) and the Super Bowl..
JL may have to make this decision irl soon.. hard to pay two receivers mega bucks
