Joe Montana or Steve Young?

Deion was a free agent mercenary that left because he wanted to. Haley had to go because he was becoming a disruption in the locker room. Floyd was okay but what did he do once he left the Niners and all that talent? He had 79 yards and 2 TDs in 3 seasons at Carolina. Watters should have been kept.

If Deion and Watters stay, we repeat in 95 guaranteed.

I agree with this. JJ stokes was a terrible miss too. Should have taken law or kaufman, I think it was? Imagine if they took Sapp, but no way after going Stubs and Young the prior two years.

Jets up to pick, Sapp available.......Jets pick TE Kyle Brady. NFL Network showing Jets fans yelling and giving up and running out of the building lol

Joe beat Steve when the Chiefs played the Niners in1994, 24-14.

Watch the highlights and you see how tentative Steve Yong was when passing in the pocket and that happened far too regularly in big games.

Steve Young was his own worst enemy.

Montana was always smooth in the pocket.

Wasn't Young missing his entire starting oline that game ? From my understanding he was pounded by KC's dline all game and gained a lot of respect from his teammates for hanging in there…

Steve Young always had an excuse for why he couldn't quite win. He was tough but he always bailed on the pass and tried to run when in trouble.

Except the year where the 49ers packed the team and he beat Dallas and San Deigo.

young was an elite passer before that.
Young was a little bigger and thicker than Montana. He was also faster. Arm strength was comparable. The real difference was between the ears. Some guys have that intangible that can't be measured. Just marveled at.
What kind of freakin question is this???

Pretty simple, Young or Montana.
Glad to say we had both.

Super Bowls and HOF! Couldn't ask for any bigger blessings than those two guys.

The only thing that would have made it even better 🤔

"Drafting Mahomes over Solomon Thomas."??

yea maybe

Oh no. If they did that then they might not have taken Purdy. Probably would have picked Mac Jones and we would be saying what a wasted pick that was. So we would still be looking for a good starter.
Oh damn ‼️‼️‼️ S#%t‼️ My grandkids can answer that ‼️. Joe was a warrior. He knew that he could win and he knew how to win. He didn't let the other team dictate how he played. And, they knew as long as he was on the field, their own chances of winning were diminished each and every second Joe Cool was out there. Joe is the ONLY QB I've seen to do what Ali did to Foreman to another football team

But we would probably have a ring or two.

Well it's a better question than Tanner Mordecai vs Joshua Dobbs.

First two years of Tom and Brock's career...

Brock Purdy 17-4
Tom Brady 11-3
