I'm still scarred by the Giants/Correa fiasco. Fingers crossed.

Good choice, for many reasons beyond being a 49ers fan.

Compete for Superbowl's or play for Cleveland... Such a hard choice....

I wonder what the difference in money was.

Not just the difference in straight money either, with California's state income tax!

They need to re-sign Nick Bosa and Brandon Aiyuk. I know the cap will increase and that they have two rookies QB contracts to build the roster around but still that´s a lot of money for a DT. And quite frankly, I would have prefered they signed a big FA at the DE position or CB. And why didn´t they re-sign DJ Jones last year honestly?

But damn, Javon Hargrave is a great player and exactly what this team needs. And he was good with the Steelers and the Eagles. Maybe, they won´t sign a DE because they know what they have with Drake Jackson.

Jones is not even close to the player Hargrave is. Hargrave had more sacks last year than Jones has had in his career.

Yeah I know. I´m just saying that if you were gonna invest a big salary on a DT, maybe it would have been better to give 10 millions per year to DJ Jones and keep some flexibility financially for other positions like another CB or DE.
Javon Hargraves is a great player. I´m just concerned by what will happen with Aiyuk for example. At some point, there won´t be money for everyone. I´m not Paraag and I trust this FO. I´m just stunned they signed Javon Hargraves.

build the D so good.. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO THE QB IS

That's what we thought In 2019 too.

Great signing though. I'm Impressed.
how the hell did this happen?

I would have never guessed this being possible!

What a freaking win.

We can do ANYTHING with Hargrave.

He was a nose tackle for years, he can eat up blockers and be a run down asset or collapse the pocket helping bosa, Jackson and AA. You can stunt with him and open up lanes for Jackson and Bosa.... or he can just pin his ears back and go get sacks.

What a win

AA must be the happiest dude in the building, odds are his double teams just went wayyyyy down.

We might see PEAK AA next year.

That's what they were trying to do with Kinlaw. Maintain flexibility by not paying Jones 10mil.

This happens when draft picks don't work out. It costs $$$ to plug the hole you wanted the draft pick to.

It's what happened when Foster screwed up and we had to go out and get Kwon. Fortunately Warner came along soon after.

Paying 20M today doesn't mean they should have paid 10M a year ago. In hindsight it makes sense but that's all it is really - hindsight.
No matter how you slice it, as long as he doesn't go on vacation for the duration of this contract, we just got a MIGHTY player.

Jesus, I was hoping we'd sign this guy, but the Stupid f**ks beat us to the punch. Hargrave signed a 4yr 84mil deal with the Stupid f**ks.

You think the Hawks have the cap to sign someone that high?

And when was the last time they spent money on FA.

IMO this allows SF to move up in the draft and get a good young center. Everyone hated mcGlinchey and he just got PAID.

Him and Command will laud KC for paying 20 mil a year for a middling tackle because they "addressed the need".

Yeah I mean I'll pay for a pro-bowler who's a f**king stud…overpaying for just okay (because it's a need) is how you get burned in FA.

facts are those high end offensive linemen weren't in this FA class.

Where did we get the money for this?

Recycled cans and glass bottles from last year's home games.
I mean it's pretty wild they signed him. I'm a little worried about our own guys we need to sign. Especially Bosa. Also how the heck do we sure up the OL now?

Well to be honest I didn't think the 9ers had the cap to sign a top 5 free agent.

Nope, glass bottles don't get you s**t. It was from cans and copper. Lol

Outside of re upping our own guys there wasn't anyone to go out and get on the OL that would fix anything. The answer was always internal/draft. Biggest FA to expect is a swing tackle IMO.
