If one Javon don't work, go get another one
if Kinlaw had panned out he would have gotten paid, instead he is going the way of Reggie McGrew and Hargrave gets his money instead... John Lynch and the 9ers winning and salving that wasted first rounder with this signing
Javon is only 6' 2". I like those shorter guys in the middle because they can get under the O lineman and drive him back. Taller guys sometimes stand too upright and are easier to block.

So glad I don't have to talk about pad level anymore.

Of the top 20 pff rankings of interior defensive lineman only 3 are 6'2 or shorter. Only 10 in the top 50.

Thats why you shouldn't get caught up on a website when it comes to football.

PFF is a joke

bosa - Gravedigger - Armstead - Jackson?
Greenlaw - Warner - ?
eman - Huff - Gipson - Ward

not bad! We just need a little more depth at linebacker and CB, then we are good! Next stop, Oline!

I hope we can get another guy because I'm afraid eMan no longer the same Man we once knew....

and.. I still say that we sign Clowney on a 2 year contract.. the guy must be sick of eating his HUMBLE PIE that he's gonna want to prove the world that he isn't a BUST..

So you want to dump a young player that actually played good for the team, and was still showing improvement, then sign an older guy who has been a HUGE disappointment at every stop along the line? How typically you brother Moon...

Will Hargrave play 2i in base personnel? Supposedly he doesn't hold up well versus combo blocks (based on a breakdown article of his game).
Great signing by SF but Hargrave is not particularly strong against the run (49.0 PFF grade, 92nd among interior defenders). He's a good pass rusher from the inside, but the 49ers are already good at rushing the passer. Also, DeForest Buckner points out that he signed for the same amount, so why didn't they just hold on to Buckner, who is the better and younger player? I get that it's good to improve your team while simultaneously weakening your rivals, but I think they're setting themselves up for a Rams-like problem in 2024.

Except that the cap increases DRASTICALLY in 2024. They also have all their picks minus a 5th next year with multiple comp picks likely coming.

Swing and a miss.

OUR LB's will make him look good as a run defender. Our coach and scheme may help as well.

Make no mistake, he was brought here to rush the passer in this passing league.

I didn't say to DUMP eMan... I'm saying it would be a good idea if we can sign another CB because I'm afraid eMan may not be the same guy.. He can still compete for a spot on the team, but I'm just afraid he may not be the same.

.. also, I didn't mean to sign Clowney and take over eMan's roster spot.. I just believe that Clowney would be a very good addition to the team.

They also don't bat down the ball much like Chris Jones, Deforest Buckner or Arik Armstead. So it works both ways. You get a lot of tipped balls. Incomplete passes and even interceptions. Taller with long arms and big hands has lots of advantages and great points too.

Nick Boss is good as rushing the passer not the d line overall. Dam near every sack that wasn't from Bosa was due to scheme. They just f**ked up in the Buckner deal. Nothing they can do.about it now but.move.forward. Kinlae.is.a.bust.
