Thats why i dont get this. Couldnt afford this then but now you can. Strange.

The cap was much lower back then so $20 milllion would have been a much bigger part of the cap.

We were paying Jimmy $27M a year back then. We are paying Trey + Purdy a combined $10M a year right now.

I get people roll their eyes at how the Saints/Rams/Chiefs can afford everything but this scenario is not that complicated. Having QB's on rookie contracts opens up a lot of possibilities.
so stoked for this! we need Kinlaw anyways as affordable depth this year. He will probably play better, I mean, he can't play any worse. He's expensive to cut and has no trade value. Hargrave is an absolute stud, this FO has brass balls

Nice
now if Jackson develops into a stud or we find a legit edge this dline would be unstoppable with the continued depth

This makes sense

Don't pay Buck, don't pay Jones, wasted a pick on Kinlaw with Wirfs on the board. Don't make senses tbh

He's 30, but playing at a high level. Hopefully, this Javon works out

We got Trent Williams when he was 30. That turned out pretty good
Great move by the 49ers!

Was thinking the same thing, especially with Jones and his salary half of what we're paying Hargrave.
