Type of free agency!!! LFG!!!!

I think it'll go towards extensions mainly. Hopefully we draft OL and front seven on D.
Disappointing!

But, I believe it has more to do with fit. He seems to be more of an interior pass rusher than clogger. So, who was going to do that selfless job amongst Armstead, Kinlaw and this guy. Answer is none.

49ers need a guy like DJ Jones or DJ Jones himself. Trouble is if DJ Jones is still that 49ers DJ Jones.

We got Anderson now and just as good
Dude never lived up to his salary. Buckner debacle still haunting us.
Good move, he was a goner either way.

Not sure how he will be doing if buck was still here, but he ain't doing s**t in Indy.

we would be overpaying buck if he did stay

I think its more than that. Him instead of Armstead would have been better. Armstead was awesome, but could never stay healthy so we only got it in spurts. So maybe today he would be winding down a bit ,but we can only imagine his impact in 20-23 etc. I also think he was loved in the locker room etc. I am not harping on it tbh, but if you were to ask me what are the biggest mistakes they've mad this is definitely one of them.

I don't think it was a mistake.. but moves that need to be made. Not all moves will be liked and most of them usually don't work out.

PFF isn't the be all end all but they have him ranked as the #6 interior lineman (out of 124)

The mistake was giving Jimmy Buckners money.

Hindsight is 20/20 though.

Yes it is 20/20 for sure.

IMO not keeping Bucker was a bad move.

The other was the first draft (17) first round for sure. If these guys hit as often in the first as they do in the 5th we would have a ring. Its an odd complaint, but its pretty crazy how well they typically do in the mid to later rounds, vs the first and second etc.
This shows me that Lynch and Kyle realize they need to make some major changes next season. With 4 games left they're already positioning for a run at free agents.
We should have kept Buckner.

What a waste of money! Why didn't we sign Buckner again??

I mean, they rolled the dice and he helped them get to the SB and came within the OT period of winning it. Came up just a bit short, but I'd rather have a front office that takes the chance than not.

Buckner was years earlier, so I just don't tie them together. Didn't time, different reasons, etc.

This!!! Mrrrrrrrr Andersonnnnnnnnnnn (matrix) is a very good DT. Great vs the run and the pass. DJ Jones is often injured and high priced.
