Ferrell did a good job of winning his match ups in college with advanced hands, size and strength. He was really strong, long and could win in multiple ways with his hands at that level. I remember being impressed while watching his tape by the wide array of moves that he had in his arsenal as well as his ability to win all 3 ways(outside, inside and power). Unfortunately, he's not a good athlete. The dude is stiff, can't bend and isn't twitchy.

I think he came into the NFL at his ceiling already. It's hard to translate the ability from college to the NFL when there's not much room for growth. He relied a lot on generating a get off with anticipation and jumping snaps. He's a segmented mover that struggled to marry his feet and hands. There's no juice off the ball to threaten the the top the arc or to close distance.

That said, Kocurek is going to get the most out of him, and maybe being in a scheme where he's focused on firing off the ball and attacking will help unlock some of his ability.

I think his ceiling is an elite run defender that can get some clean up sacks on an elite pass rushing line. If Ferrell wants to have a long career, he needs to stay on teams with top tier D lines.

I can see this SPEEF 4 line up when it's obvious passing downs..

BOSA - GIVENS - DRAKE - FERRELL

Hargrave isn't coming off the field on 3rd downs. He has one of the best interior pass rush win rates in the NFL.

I can't see Ferrell out there on rushing downs. For me, it's some combination of Bosa/Hargrave/AA/Jackson or Bosa/Hargrave/AA/Hyder, Bosa/Hargrave/Hyder/Jackson or Beal.

Unless it's 3rd and short, I don't expect Ferrell to be out there on 3rd down much.

I think Ferrell wins DPOY while Drake wins the MIPOY
While CMC wins NFL MVP

Bosa n AA next to each other is money on pd. These combos are going to be so fun to watch

Agree. I am so looking forward to watching this D-line rush. This is going to be hell on offenses and then when you add our secondary is better than it was in 2019, while generating more turnovers. And then we plan to blitz more?
If Kocurek can turn Clelin into an effective pass rusher he should get an enormous pay raise.
Once a bust always a bust. The only dude this bum can beat 1on 1 is Colton. That's not saying much.
I heard this potato brain not only put a hand on Purdy, but he hit the surgically-repaired arm. Please tell me this isn't true.

Me too.

Absolutely disastrous job as GM.

Picking Leatherwood was even worse.
This dude is so hard up to get a sack can't wait to see what he'll do when we face his old team lol

It's true. There was a petition here a few days ago to cut him for that.
