3 sacks and 22 pressures in 550 pass blocking snaps is subpar for a center. He let's defenders get into the backfield way too easily. Beyond that he has a penchant for bad penalties, one of which cost the Giants a game last year.
Plays like Jose Feliciano.

How much did Nate Sudfield make before we cut him?

Now they just need to find the guard version of Brock.

A Mr. Irrelevant at RT.

Love it!

Man o man, he sure looks *Purdy* Good.
This guy is bad

I was gonna say flip the names around lol and take out the "no".

Guru Shanahan says he's great, so he's great.

"I didn't notice him at all so he must be doing great!"

He was very good last year as a C for the Giants

No he wasn't. Giants made zero effort to keep him and Giants fans celebrated when he left.

Dude is awful. If Brendel misses time at any point this season, Purdy gonna die.
He was good in pass pro

Less pass pro snaps but still good

I thought he was very good in pass blocking but was bad in run blocking.

This.

He is a back up and that is still very good for a back up. If he is forced to start there will be a drop off but it won't be that bad

Couldn't resist reviving this thread. Banks has been playing brilliantly and yet when he had to go off against Dallas this guy stepped in with very little drop off and the commentators hardly seemed to notice the change. Good work Jon.

This, so much, Feliciano did a great job in Banks absence, great signing for the 49ers, wish it was a 2yr deal.

He played much better than I expected. I'm always happy to admit when I'm proven wrong about a player when it's positive.
Here's a subject matter experts on OL play and JF deserves some love here too!

Love the clean pockets that the OLine gives Purdy a great base to throw off of. The rams overthrows, in my opinion, were in part due to a dirty pocket with Aaron just collapsing the pocket in certain ways to just force Brock to move his feet just as he had to throw in anticipation of the breaking routes. The 49er OLine vs Dallas was *much improved* vs the Steeler and Rams game - if you just go by those reps illustrated above.

Same, I wish he was a draftee that we could keep a la Brock Purdy. Chances are if we want to keep Feliciano, he'll be very expensive next year. My hope is that they get a young rookie Felicano 2.0 in next years draft, as well as a young Trent Williams 2.0. We shall see, but I was impressed with Feliciano and how he helped the 49ers run game do well on the right side runs against Seattle.
