What is the minimum that you would accept to trade Trey Lance?

It's much better to keep hold of hiim for now In hope that he reaches his full potential.

The only reason you trade him now is if they firmly believe that playing him would only further reduce his value...ala Zach Wilson.

Exactly!

That's recency bias. In the 71 year history of the Niners before Jimmy got here, who can break a foot or roll an ankle tripping over an empty paper gator aid cup on the sideline, we played more than 2 quarterbacks 8 times, or 11 percent. And those were mostly the days before we put skirts on our qb's, and people teed off on them every down. Most teams don't have that problem these days.
2 2nd's or mid-round first.
He will end up going to. Houston for their 2nd and 4tb. They have extra picks and can go all D in firatm
.They know Trey can improve with playing time and can afford to let him grow with the team.

We use the 2nd on a RT or TE. Then grab Haener QB in the 4th

All of this!!!!

It would be a dream if this happened.

Haener & Kyle don't seem like a great match.

That deal would basically be a low round 1st and low round 3rd right? Yea thats not bad. I would go de and rt.

And fill out the rest of the draft the same way.

Is houston willing to drop mills? Maybe a 1st and mills.

Still need qb depth by the bay.
The way I see it is what offer is good enough for Kyle to take the risk of him looking like an idiot? Because so many things can go wrong for them with trading Trey and not much good. There is not really any advantage to them trading Trey. It cost more to trade him than to keep him, Brock is is currently not healthy. They invested so much draft capital on Trey. And there is the risk of him being elite. So what will have Kyle sleep well at night? Knowing all the risks that come with trading him? There is no negative in having Trey on the roster.

Trust the people that saw him everyday. If they thought there was a chance of him becoming elite, none of this would be happening

You don't think our staff already does?
We can deal him for a 2nd rounder. But probably won't do it.

It's not recency bias when this has all occurred under the same regime. It's not only the recency of the data that makes it relevant.

I look at it this way. Trey Lance is 22 years old. He is one year old than Bryce Young and CJ Stroud. Sure, you could argue that Bryce and Stroud are better than Trey at this moment, which is a stretch in my opinion. That being said, if you're telling me that you'd want Anthony Richardson or Will Levis over him, you're crazy imo. Both of those QB's have a chance to be taken in the top 15-20 in the draft. If I'm trading Trey Lance, I would want one of those top 20 picks AT THE MINIMUM.
