There is not really any advantage to them trading Trey. It cost more to trade him than to keep him, Brock is is currently not healthy. They invested so much draft capital on Trey. And there is the risk of him being elite. So what will have Kyle sleep well at night? Knowing all the risks that come with trading him? There is no negative in having Trey on the roster.
Lol. You're clearly only limiting your opinion on this to the worst case scenario.

And you don't trade a cheap controllable qb with tons of potential for less than that.

I don't see his value much higher than a 4th rounder right now. Much of this "trade Trey" talk has faded in last few days as a result.
Best I see happening is trading him for one of the Washington Commanders DE.

The correct answer is a conditional pick next year.
If he starts 12 games and is a pro bowler or pro bowler alternate then its a 1st rounder. If not its a 2nd or 3rd rd pick. That would be my starting point.

They were only receiving calls, not making them. I imagine that everyone except Bosa was in this category.

If it were as simple as just giving him a chance there would be multiple teams lined up for him. Demeco didn't even consider it, spent more for Stroud instead. Our last hope is Ran Carthon, he hasn't taken a QB and Malik Willis is beyond awful. If he doesn't want Trey we are screwed

"Tons of potential.". He's not super fast, super big, or have a super exciting arm. He's above average in those departments but doesn't have a single physical trait that is extraordinary. His best trait is character which is the easiest to find and least valuable of all prospect traits

I don't know, but it sure is depressing, listening to all the national radio talk show callers raving about their draft picks this morning. Period virtually every team in the NFL got better yesterday except for the 49ers.

Are you serious? Screwed? Wow. He has not played. We don't know what he can or can't do. Never given a chance. Lets hit pause…

The thing is what changed after one game started? He got hurt. He was the starter. Kyle started him over jimmy s**t his pants again G. Nothing. He got hurt. All this talk about the organization not believing in him and he is washed up.. not worth this or that is garbage. Purdy played great. That's it. Purdy played great, we won and nothing changed with Trey. Just saying… the kid may have lost the starting role because Purdy earned it. That does not mean Trey won't earn it back… for the love of god stop with the hate…
