Goff hasn't been a good deep ball passer this season so Brown may not be tested there. If Brown can make his open field tackles, he offers good physicality towards defending the run.

He played OK. With a few bad spots. But he was still better than Logan Ryan IMO.

It looked like he had a chance to pick off the post throw to Amon-Ra St. Brown in the 2Q. From the broadcast, it looked like he slightly hesitated at very end of the play.

He had three good tackles early in the first half where he took on Montgomery one-on-one and brought him down.

Brown had some decent tackles, but was late in support a couple times and then blew an assignment on that 3rd & 18. I really hope he gets better because this absolutely cannot keep happening.

Rookies make mistakes. It's why Kyle is so hesitant with them.
Gipson poor tackling was as frustrating as anything.
