Please be healthy for us this year and more!

So maybe we should move him to safety?

Thoughts?

He knows he'll have the opportunity to take Dre's place (big shoes to fill). If he's committed/serious, I don't see why he couldn't have a breakout year (maybe pro bowl), especially under Saleh. He just has to stay on the field and not get injured time n time again...
I loved him coming out of the draft. I thought he'd be a 4th round pick but if he stays healthy we will have just as good if not a BETTER coverage LB than Greenlaw. Still the damn injuries
I thought he showed a lot of promise last season; people kinda sleeping on him. If not for the constant injuries, no doubt in my mind he'd be the replacement and a damn good one at that

even if he wasnt injured all the time, he is not very good at tackling and against the run...which is a big, big problem. a humongous problem. Dre would do all the dirty work cleaning up tackling. Winters isn't really that type of player. Being solid in coverage (even that is debatable, gets lost too many times in non-man) is fine and dandy and all...but teams wont care to pass if they can run on you.

Guess who else misses a lot of tackles but is considered the best LB in the NFL…….

Like I said; some of you are sleeping on him. We'll see

That said, I really like this LB class and hope we dip into it. Pretty sure we will and whoever it is will be in competition for the spot no doubt

Yeah comparing Fred Warner to Dee Winters is pretty absurd.

For whats its worth, Dee Winters looked worse defending the run in 2024 than D. Campbell was. This is just off my assessment but pff seems to echo that as well. He's got a lot of work to do.

I agree about the draft class, there are some intriguing prospects but a lot of undersized LBs too whom Im not sure are good fits for WLB role in this defense.

He's good in coverage though which is more important. You can't have QB's picking on you when you are out there which is what every QB in the league did to Campbell.

Just like at TCU he'll be the best LB we have starting this season !!

That depends on your scheme and supporting cast, Right now I'd rather have a run stopping LB next to Warner given how bad our DL looks. If we had that 2019 DL then I'd like a coverage LB. Unless we fix our DL or he starts getting better against the run our left side looks like it'll be blown up in the run game

lol kinda cool idea but safety is a lot different not an easy switch plus he'd be a Box/SS which we already have two of in Mustapha and Brown
