An outstanding pick. If he was a little taller he would go much higher. A big time playmaker who is just a bit short. But he will be a player for us IMO.

Love this pick. People probably won' t like it but he reminds me a little bit of Reuben Foster. I think he won' t be the traditional hybrid LB/S they loved like Fred and Dre but Dee Winters could be a good role player as a blitzer or even a 5th pass rusher on third downs. His quickness and closing speed is impressive.

I agree - it's almost like he can play that third safety that will be on the field in some packages at times to blitz or help contain the mobile QBs, something we've struggled with historically. He has great closing speed and takes really good angles, all while hitting with a lot of explosion.

Absolutely love this pick to add to the LB group
This guy will more than likely turn out to be the best of the bunch from our most recent draft.
this dude ran a 40 time faster than half of the recievers and running backs in this draft, lol. Sheesh. bullet to the backfield. if he plays with that same instinct and attack, watch out.

I think other than Brown, this is the guy i'm most excited to see play. I think he'll be a star like greenlaw.
How much does he weigh?

He used to be a safety?

I don't understand the knock on his height at all, but I'm old enough to remember Sam Mills terrorizing offenses year after year.

He is around 230 lbs and before he moved to linebacker at TCU he was a WR and safety.
favorite draft pick along with money mooney

He's 5'11 230, Greenlaw is 5'11.5 235, Warner 6'2 236... So it's not like he's THAT much shorter or lighter. I pulled these stats just from google so give or take 5 pounds and a half an inch depending on where you go.

However... his 40 time is sub 4.5. So if he shows the ability to take on an offensive lineman while trailing the play... this pick is gold. The name that came to my mind was a smaller Danny Travathan. Again he will prove his worth if he can use his leverage and take on a block at the NFL level. His speed can make up for allot of that but if a team runs straight at him he needs to prove he can hold his ground at the NFL level.

I saw a lot of what Greenlaw does. He's "undersized" but I think he can get to 240lbs all said an done. He's got that some aggressive mindset and is super explosive. We like our LBers to be fast and be able to cover/blitz. He's gonna fit right in.

Greenlaw looks real thick though. It's hard to tell that he's only 5'11.
