Fisher does indeed have 32 inch arms. He was projected as a guard by most and he was actually expected to get selected between the 5th-7th round.

Obviously the small school status pushed him down. But man, I hope he comes in and adjusts quickly. Guys like him and Poe, all they need is to get their technique up to NFL standards to take full advantage of their superior athletic traits compared to most of the league.

I can see why long arms are better on the tackle position versus the guard position. Still, if he has good handspeed, and he does look like he has fast hands - maybe short arms at the tackle position isn't such a detriment.

I think the issue is that in today's NFL, he'd be at a serious disadvantage physically on the outside. On the interior though, he could be great if he can put it altogether.

IMO, we're looking at potentially the next Brandon Scherff if he pans out. Absolutely nasty, mauling, freak athlete on the inside.

Imagine if Poe and Fisher BOTH got adjusted to the NFL and started doing what they did in college.

I wonder if either would work out at center. I do love their mentalities. Would be a great addition to our run game.

i know those two are long shots but I love the way they play. Would be awesome if our line was
Williams - Bank - Poe/fisher - Poe/Fisher - Burford

i believe burford has long arms - they're almost 35 inches.

Agree, Poe and Fisher - UDFA - and playing the equivalent of a first to fourth round pick player, would be like hitting the lotto. Almost as rare as hitting a franchise QB in the 7th round. I love these offseason stories where we can root for the underdog and watch them grow. More times than not, they fail, but those that make it - Brieda, Bourne, Brunskill, make my day and give me hope anything is possible.

A dominant all pro center in Kyle's run game will give him such a terrifying advantage in the run game, in my opinion.

The question with poe/fisher at center comes down to their intellect and leadership. Im not saying they don't have it, I really don't know, if they do - they can make a run for it!

The team obviously thinks really highly of fisher based on the UDFA contract they gave him. I know the Steelers and baltimore were interested in him too.
JOEY " GOGAN " FISHER !!!!
This guys highlights make me want to watch offensive lineman. I have never seen a more entertaining set of highlights that should be boring at that tackle position, however he was serving pancakes like f**king IHOP!

Similar to Poe last year, Fisher better be on at least the practice squad. Get Moore off the roster and replace him with this beast.

If Jaylon Moore beats him out at 3rd string T, he just needs to retire. He's got an easy path to making the roster as an UDFA.
Not getting overly excited. Not saying he is overhyped, but there is a long line of prematurely hyped guys who fell on their face.

See Hayne, Jared. Lemonier, Corey. Okoye, Lawrence.

I'll wait and see. The fact he is 25 and mature is a giant plus, by the way.
Would be real nice to see this offensive line pan out one day:
Williams / Banks / Brendel / Poe or Fisher / Burford
This allows the loser at RG to be our swing guard and McKivitz remains our swing tackle. Then in the future, when the Silverback retires and Brendel gets replaced:
McKivitz / Banks / Poe or Zakelj / Poe or Fisher / Burford
A nice, young offensive line that can learn to grow and gel together for a LONG time.

You Nailed it!

IMO - Same for a dominant all pro R Tackle

Amen to that.

Same here.

can someone share some insight into what Oline arm length is normal or average?

32 inch doesn't sound too bad to me but I don't have much reference

aaron banks has 33 1-8 inch arms. Trent has 34 inch. The quick reading Ive done have it at teams ideally like 34 inch

Fisher is 32" even.

34" is considered ideal. 33" tends to be the hard cutoff. 35+ is considered freaky.
Those numbers would be for a tackle. I seriously doubt they will put him anywhere but OG where 32 inches wont be too much of a big deal. There have been All Pro Guards have been in that range including David DeCastro (32.4) , Marshall Yanda (32.5) and Josh Sitton (32)

Correct, I was speaking with regards to tackle. My guess is also that they try him at guard. I'd be surprised if they give him any opportunities at all to play tackle.

I remember Jaylon Moore playing and he was awful. Maybe he's improved but I remember him playing really really bad
