I think fans are confusing him with Steen who does have 32" arms. He was ranked #197 overall by TDN.

Here's his profile: https://thedraftnetwork.com/sr-prospect/joey-fisher-nfl-draft-scouting-report/

His best asset as a pass blocker is his length and anchor. He is excellent at utilizing his long arms to initiate a well-timed punch to disrupt the rusher's rush and then steer the defender around the arc.

Yeah that's measurements are off. He measured in at 6'4 and 1/8th" and weighed 296lbs. The 32 inch arms will probably for sure mean he sticks to the interior OL, but I love him as an UDFA pickup. Give him a year or 2 of nfl weight room/coaching technique and I think he has a shot of being a starter level interior OL

Similar to Poe last year, Fisher better be on at least the practice squad. Get Moore off the roster and replace him with this beast.

Agree

He put up 40 reps on the bench press, and apparently during college he took 2 years off to help with the family business - and when he came back he had put on around 50 pounds of muscle, to convert from TE to OL. The technique coaching will help him for sure, but I don't think the NFL weight room will matter!
What's cool is this guys favorite player is Trent Williams. He's built differently but both freak athletes and Uber competitive.

every year there are longshots that a lot of us clamor for, I usually try to stay away from it, but im really hoping this guy works out.

i feel like the issue with most o line coming out is more to do with building up their bodies - Fisher seems to have that already. He has the hay bale throwing - country strength too.

burford played tackle in college and his body is much more designed for it with the long arms. I hope fisher surprises everyone and competes for that spot and then we kick burford out to be our back up and swing tackle.

i don't like messing with continuity on the o line, because I think it's extremely important, but it would be like having an Aaron Donald on the o line. Hahahah if he works out.

it's a long shot but I'm optimistic about him.

Of course he put up 40 reps. He had Chris Borland arms. LOL

Like Jason Poe last year, Fisher has some elite traits but he's got some deficiencies as well.

Discuss.

NGL, he's fun to watch, but I'm actually really worried about him getting some of our guys injured, they way he throws bodies into the trenches at about knee/ankle height. There were a couple ugly piles in there that could have been nasty.

Wrath sighting!!!

PS: Great point. That's kind of the last thing you want. Pancacking them on their back is fine but throwing them to the side and falling with them = torn ligaments and broken bones at some point.

Can't wait to see this kid.. I hope he's really that strong.. short arm may keep him at RG but I'd like to see him against our starting DEs.. that's the only way to go.

For s**ts and giggles, I'd love to see Fisher try out at RG and Burford try out at RT. And Poe/Nick push Brendel at C. That could be a fun athletic young OL to watch.

He won't be throwing anyone in the NFL like that, those guys are future 9-5ers like the rest of us lol

Unless Mike Mcglinchey lines up across from him

Haha. I'm all for it. Just don't think Foerster will even try it though.

Chris was a pretty good linebacker though.

Maybe Kyle will do it for Foerster.
