6'5" 322 and great athletic profile.

I think fans are confusing him with Steen who does have 32" arms. He was ranked #197 overall by TDN.

Here's his profile: https://thedraftnetwork.com/sr-prospect/joey-fisher-nfl-draft-scouting-report/

His best asset as a pass blocker is his length and anchor. He is excellent at utilizing his long arms to initiate a well-timed punch to disrupt the rusher's rush and then steer the defender around the arc.

Yeah that's measurements are off. He measured in at 6'4 and 1/8th" and weighed 296lbs. The 32 inch arms will probably for sure mean he sticks to the interior OL, but I love him as an UDFA pickup. Give him a year or 2 of nfl weight room/coaching technique and I think he has a shot of being a starter level interior OL

He put up 40 reps on the bench press, and apparently during college he took 2 years off to help with the family business - and when he came back he had put on around 50 pounds of muscle, to convert from TE to OL. The technique coaching will help him for sure, but I don't think the NFL weight room will matter!

Of course he put up 40 reps. He had Chris Borland arms. LOL

Chris was a pretty good linebacker though.

He sure was!

For s**ts and giggles, I'd love to see Fisher try out at RG and Burford try out at RT. And Poe/Nick push Brendel at C. That could be a fun athletic young OL to watch.

That's exactly what I'd like to see.

I think if we had a better known prospect for RG, then we would of kicked Burford out (I always thought we drafted him to replace McG). So I'm hoping fisher is a huge surprise and shows the coaches that he can handle RG and kick burford out. Then use Mckivitz as a swing tackle.

If you're looking at pure talent and upside, and youth, this would certainly be worth entertaining.

You think we got Trent's replacement on the team already or will he be replaced with someone via the draft? I hope the later tbh

Burford played a lot of tackle in college and he has 34 inch arms. He struggled at times last year but he improved throughout the season and hopefully builds up his body this off-season. The problem with kicking him out rn is who would replace him, ya know? Fisher is 25 and has a legit grown ass man body with elite speed/agility and lower. I just don't know what his technique will look like at this level, if it's ready.

I'm hoping he's a huge surprise.
he has all the tools - just need to find out if he has the technique/fundamentals. Hard to know when he's playing DII talent.

Well, I think Trent plays at least the next three years. I know some on here are worried he will only play a season or two but he would miss out on essentially $100M if he doesn't play the next few season.

he also had a year off 9 years into his career, I think that'll give him a longer playing career than usual, especially with how freakish athletic he is.

So i think he will be here longer than some anticipate, but to answer your question - Depending on the quality in the draft, anticipate we use our first rounder next year on the o line. We won't have many needs and it'll be our first first round pick in years. So im hoping we snag one.

I think he she's very well performance wise like whitworth did for the rams, the former bengals. I think that was his name. He was all pro or pro bowler at like 39

IMHO, that'll come the year he retires in the first round. We've got to find a supreme talent there.

My gut tells me Trent will retire if we ever win a SB.
Physicality is there, ability wise, we are getting ahead of ourselves - like fans on this board tend to do.

Man I hope you're right. People anticipate it because he already was contemplating retirement this year, once that starts happening then there's a chance after every season. He definitely has the rest of his contract in him.
Hoping this kid can be our Alex Boone 2.0. Though Boone was bigger with longer arms (6'7, 320lbs, 34in). They both are strong as an ox (think Boone did like 35 reps on the bench) and both were projected 5th-6th rd picks that went undrafted, Boone more so for off the field issues and Fisher I believe cause he's coming from small school. I like a lot of other people on here would love to see what Burfurd can do at RT. If Fisher/Poe/Zakelj can't fill in at that starting RG spot then we could always plug Feliciono there and move Burfurd to RT. But seems our coaching staff is dead set on him being a G and Mckivitz being our RT

Did he say that? I didn't see that.

if we win a super bowl, i think he will love the feeling so much that he will want another one (the massive amount of money wouldn't hurt either) hahaha

Of course we are. But to be fair, this regime is #1 in finding udfa gems. It could happen.
why was he at DII exactly? Grades? Did he start football late?
