I think his best chance to succeed is at guard, no doubt, with him being a backup center. That's the only way we will consider keeping him around - needs to be versatile. I can see him being able to play tackle too, but isn't his best fit in the nfl.

Yep seems to be an inside guy considering he has short arms but unbelievable strength putting 40 reps on the bench. Could possibly be a road grader at guard?

For s**ts and giggles, I'd love to see Fisher try out at RG and Burford try out at RT. And Poe/Nick push Brendel at C. That could be a fun athletic young OL to watch.

That's exactly what I'd like to see.

I think if we had a better known prospect for RG, then we would of kicked Burford out (I always thought we drafted him to replace McG). So I'm hoping fisher is a huge surprise and shows the coaches that he can handle RG and kick burford out. Then use Mckivitz as a swing tackle.

I love this!!!!

The thought of an offensive line consisting of Williams / Banks / Poe or Zakelj / Fisher / Burford is very enticing!

It's an interesting thought but I think it's important to remember that Fisher was a small school standout against inferior competition. It will be a big step up from there to the NFL. I would imagine he will end up at guard where his strength might be better utilized. I could see them grooming Zakelj for the center spot and you have to root for Poe just because of his spirit and character. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does in camp this year. Go Niners!

Nick zakelj is 6'6, isn't that way too large to be a center? I don't know if I've seen a center that big. Lol might block Purdys view, Or anyone who's starting. Lmao

Newberry was 6'5 and never had any problems. The taller you are at center, the harder it can be. not that it blocks the QB though, it's just a matter of having to snap and get in your stance quickly.

Thats my thought. He has the mentality, aggressiveness, and country boy strength. Just needs to have good fundamentals and technique - which I'm not sure if he does right now, but if so, he could be an absolute force. That is the type of size, strength, and athleticism that's rare and unreachable.

Yeah but he may just not be used to playing in dry heat like that? Idk. I read he didn't look like he was out of shape. Idk what happened but apparently he looked explosive

It was 79 here in NY yesterday, and man, it was hot to me, no breeze or anything, today was different, 80s, but a nice or somewhat nice breeze outside. Dry heat sucks, heat in general sucks, also dehydration isn't good, been there, sucks, you're weak, I shake like I'm diabetic(which I'm apparently not, but I think I am), and just light headed/dizzy.

But hoping for the best for Fisher, wanna see where he lines up, which OG spot, or OT spot, I wonder if he can play RT? I just don't wanna get my hopes up, thought Dohnovan West would be our Center, then he's stuck playing in the XFL, where he wasn't all that good.

It is interesting how we acclimate to different climates. Give me dry heat over humid any day!
Not a good start but his talent is still undeniable. I think he's still in the running to be on the 53 man roster.

Oh yeah. Just the first day. Some water + electrolytes and he'll be right back to shoving' and throwing' people.
