And he can also turn into a pumpkin with more film on him. Wouldn't be the first guy.
AND Lance can be a major bust for a top 5 draft pick. Wouldn't be the first guy.
Just stop telling me we've seen what Brock can do.
The fact that your first instinct when seeing someone say that there is a POSSIBILITY that Brock could "turn into a pumpkin" is to talk about Trey Lance shows your bias.
We all know its possible Lance could be a major bust. We all know its possible Lance could be the best QB to ever play the game. But it is probable that he is somewhere in between those two opposite ends.
Know one knows anything for sure.....which includes how good Purdy will be moving forward post injury. Not everything that isnt sunshine and rainbows is a slight.
I do have a bias. I'm biased towards players who help the team win. I liked Jimmy because the team won with him. I like Brock because the team won with him. Trey had a stacked team and is 1-2 as a starter in games he finished. If Trey somehow turned into something great I'd be loving it. I just don't see it.
So you're basically a sheep with no ability at rational thought?
By your logic
12/21 151 yards 0 TD 1 INT with 20 yards rushing and a fumble in a 9-0 win = good QB play, go Jimmy!
13/28 168 yards 0 TD 1 INT with 54 yards rushing and a fumble in a 10-19 loss = bad QB play, bad Trey!
Do you see the difference?
Guess what, that's the 1 loss in Trey's 1-2 record. The other was his first NFL start as a 21 year old dealing with a messed up finger.
The kid was our leading rusher in both losses. MAYBE the team didn't do their part to lift up the young guy like everyone claimed they would?
We have a very talented team in place. Trey has not played so bad as to overcome that level of talent. Sam Darnold has had games like that btw...
The games where your QB is just playing so bad that the rest of your team just can't compensate with all their talent.
Which is why the whole "Trey hasn't won for us" argument is so stupid. You guys love to downplay Houston but fact was the one start he had in a must win game to keep our playoff hopes alive - he won. It also happened to be the game where the rest of the team played up to their end.
