I am so dreading watching Allen play QB. It's gonna be a mess.

Geno is a passable starter in the league.
Dobbs is a low end backup.

Legit question. Who is more mobile? Allen or Dobbs?
Because Allen is more likely to 'toe the line'. Kyle fears uncertainty. He doesn't want someone back there that will improvise his offensive scheme. He wants a 'yes man' and Allen is a poor man's version of Brock Purdy.
We'll lose these next two crucial weeks (effectively eliminated from the playoffs) before Shanahan realizes that maybe it was a mistake putting Allen in. Meanwhile a lot of us see it coming a mile away that Allen sucks and should be a third stringer.

Surprisingly, I somewhat agree with this some of this post. Maybe I have lost my senses after this cluster cluck of a week lol. I think they are just more comfortable with Brandon even though Dobbs might be more versatile idk.
Brandon is like the Banquet Pot Pie version of Brock and I have little interest in watching this game . Kyle looked like he aged another five years this week lol. If only he didn't f**k up Superbowl opportunities:p

Dobbs is better. It's not close. Shany just wants somebody to call his STUPID play. "Because the answer is always in the play." He doesn't like off schedule. His play is the perfect genius call.

I'd rather see Mordecai. At least he's an unknown with some imagined potential than a guy we know isn't that good. I think they should draft a QB every year somewhere later in the draft until they find the next cheap QB on a rookie deal that can run the system.

Literally thought the same thing when they made the announcement. Don't understand why we even signed Dobbs as this is a perfect situation to throw him in there and hope he does what we saw in preseason.

Me too but if we didn't have either Allen or Dobbs I bet he'd be on the roster and have a chance to play.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is what actually happens to keep the team together. Hate to say it as I really liked Purdy, but this team won't get better with paying him that contract.

I've seen Allen play and he is nowhere near Purdy.

Maybe after this game if its a loss then we might see Mordecai. Season would probably be a wash out then..

Me three. I am team Mordy if Brock is n/a
I dnt get this love for Allen...I understand..he was Burrow's backup but what has he really shown since he has been here? I guess he needs more reps like Lance did lol. Watch, somehow Allen will come out of the gate, Darnold/Viking style and we will all be..well s**t, who saw this coming? Haha
