You have to wonder if our best 5 includes Burford at tackle though.
Foerster confirmed McKivitz and Burford are the 49ers' guys at RT and RG, respectively https://t.co/IluCfcKlaR

Yeah I wouldn't have expected them to pluck Burford out of his spot and make him adjust all over again after building himself up so well over the course of last year at guard.

Still, talk about great value... multi-year starter beginning his rookie year as a 4th rounder.

Of course not. I'm just saying, what's the likelihood that Burford is a better tackle than Mckivits? I think it's likely.
And secondly what's the likelihood that Pryor, Fisher, Poe, or Manning are better guards than Mckivits is a Tackle? I'm not sure, but some of those players have more upside IMO.

Shanahan did say that he expects both guys to get first team reps. We'll see if Lance takes QB1 reps again on the next media-open practice.

Jake Moody made FG attempts from 33, 38, 43 and 53, while Zane Gonzalez missed from 43 and made kicks from 33, 38 and 48 yards.
Glad he is settling in. Tough spot to be expected to automatically fill in for a perfect player, but that's how it goes.

Excited to see the law firm in year 2. Truly happy for Burford. I know many were hoping for Burford to move out to RT so Poe, Zakelj, Feliciano, Fisher, etc. could compete at RG. It doesn't sound like that's in the cards anymore. That door is closed.
We'll just have to hope McKivitz and Pryor are a legit competition and both prove to be excellent RT talent.

Every team in the league would want this!

My son has been invited to U C Davis football Camp on Sat Jin 17th.
I'll be driving up there and wanted to go to Levi Stadium for a tour?
I checked on to Levi Stadium website and they send you to Ticketmaster who have no events listed on Jun 17th.
Are there public tours available at Levi's right now? It says there are on the website but it's a mystery to find out any info on it.
can anybody help a fellow Niner faithful out and shed some light?
much obliged!!!

TBH, Poe unfortunately never stood a chance to beat out even Feliciano. Zakelj was noticeably better than Poe in the pre-season and it doesn't appear he's lost any ground. Sounds like we fully plan on Fisher and Poe being strictly on PS going forward. Poe really needs to show improved ability to stay off the ground this year or he might not even get to the PS.
