Sounds like when the whistle blows in basketball, ppl stop, but the guy with the ball takes a shot anyways. No big deal but obviously some people are desperately seeking to discredit the day 1 starter.
I mean if the play is dead, who cares what happens after? Just call the play what it was for everyone and go from there. I don't care if you make an amazing throw if you were back there for 4 or 5 secs getting sacked. It's practice anyway, so I get it from that aspect. Just report it correctly.

Yeah. Depends on how these guys count the plays that are "would be sacks".
A lot of let up on the D and those would be sacks change the whole dynamic of the play. Preseason will be a little better, we won't see Brock out there I'm guessing
I'm in the minority but I think we will. Not much but i think Kyle will want to get him some real game action to get mentally prepared.
Probably just 1 series in either game 2 or game 3.

I haven't but I may of missed some reporting. I've heard about quite a few sacks but I'm under the impression it's mainly Center and backup tackles. Could be wrong though, haven't followed it too closely and idk how many of the sacks have been LB/CB/S blitz

That's what I'm thinking. A series or two, at most. I expect to see Lance and darnold take turns splitting most of the reps

Hopefully it's nothing bad but I've always been confused how this guy makes the team. He's always looked awful to me.

I might be in the minority but I want to see alot of our starters playing in the pre-season. They need to do something to avoid the usual slow start to the season.
