I'm also not sure this is necessarily a bad thing. He may be taking chances in practice that he otherwise wouldn't in a real game in order to determine boundaries. Practice is about getting better, not winning the individual plays. If a guy is always taking the easy path in practice that won't help them in the long run. It could also have just been an outright bad decision or two, as well. Either way, something to learn from.

It's refreshing to see takes with common sense and a little bit of thought.

Wasn't one of those TDs from Purdy a sack by Barrett?

so was there Oren burks play actually caught?

man I don't know about Rohan's reporting. A lot of sugar in those posts lol

Yeah. Depends on how these guys count the plays that are "would be sacks".

A lot of let up on the D and those would be sacks change the whole dynamic of the play. Preseason will be a little better, we won't see Brock out there I'm guessing

I'm in the minority but I think we will. Not much but i think Kyle will want to get him some real game action to get mentally prepared.

I'm with you. I think Brock should play in the pre-season and make sure he deserves that top spot. He's not Manning or Mahomes, he should have to prove it all the way to opening day.

I think they all need to play. I doubt he does though

I would think that would be a mistake for the team. If TL stacks solid days on top of each other in camp and then has a great preseason and Purdy struggles out of the gates I think you have an immediate controversy on your hands. In my opinion unless a guy is unquestioned as the future you have to show the base why he deserves to be there and that starts in pre-season.

I'm decently confident all four QBs will get a chance to show what they can do in pre-season. Brock isn't a 5 year vet where he can skip a preseason game and not really be affected by it. Brock is still (in a sense) playing in his first year. He had only 7+ games played last year.

Now if Trey lights it up and Brock craps out in preseason, of course there will be a QB controversy. Nobody wants to see any of our QBs regressing instead of progressing. So far, so good. All four seem to be progressing and not having any setbacks.

Good play by the defense and good play by the offense in the same play. Wins all around it's practice.

Maybe.

Darnold with a few near int?! That's the guy I expected to see more of early in camp. Lol

Darnolds been consistently solid through camp but Lance is stacking really good days. This is going to be a fun battle to follow all camp. Very curious to see who does better against the raiders.

hope to see these near picks by Brock get cleaned up as camp goes on.

That's a great way to put it. But it just goes to show that you can't just look at the practice stats without context all the same as real game stats
