Lol what?

Lombardi also said Brock had a great day. So far the only person I see saying Brock did poorly is Cohn and him saying that may as well be a good sign at this point.

Brock could go 2-15 and Lombardi would say he had an up and down day and those two completions were all world throws.

Well he went 8-10 and so far all the critics are saying he had an up and down day with the two incompletions being the worst throws ever... so if anything it sounds like the other side is doing as you claim

They are reporting on things that require some level of subjective judgement… unless you just want them to list the statistics of practice results with no attempt at context. That's fair if that's what you want, but clearly the bulk of the fans are asking for more… and then crying bias when subjective judgements conflict.

I support both players but if you can't tell biases among the media guys then you have your head in the sand.

I try to read as many camp reports as possible to understand what happened as much as possible but I can pretty much tell you how the narrative will be based on the guy who put it together.

Right now the guys who I think do the best non biased takes are Kyle Posey, Brad Graham and the two Matts(although they don't provide as much detail as the others because they don't know football the same way)

A what? ... Personally, I'm a fan of and root for all 49ers' players.

Jesus. You know exactly what I mean. I root for everyone…I'm not gonna flat out lie or makeup s**t because of a bias narrative or favoritism.

Yes, I did reply to your post (not meaning to call you out specifically), but It's just THAT attitude I see among people out there and it strikes me as an incredibly dumb/stunted thought process. YMMV.

You're right, you are free to have as douchebag of an attitude as you want. It's just unbecoming of decent people.

Like the following:
"Trey stans still can't get over the fact that "their guy" is QB2/3."
"Isn't this guy a Brock homer?"

I will never see these types of attitude's as reasonable and as a fan it's incredibly off-putting.

IDK who his critics are i only know Lombardi thinks its his mission to prop up whoever the starting QB for the 49ers is.

Haha well no s**t he did. He's the biggest Brock fan around.

KP of niner nation and Brad of SFniner both said there was multiple sacks, dropped INTS and over throwing in the RZ. Great he can check it down with the best of them, I thought we moved off Jimmy for a reason?

Are you strictly referencing Purdy here?

And grant isn't a massive Brock hater and Trey love? Lmao stop it.

brock had numerous nice plays today. A beautiful fade for a TD. Numerous chunk plays. Etc. There were sacks and bad throws too. It's camp.. it's his fourth so practice. He also had bad plays, it's camp.. everyone has bad plays. It's all part of a process

you don't think Trey isn't getting sacked? Why do you think there is a discrepancy in completions every day? You don't think Trey isn't checking down? He misses most of them. Missed two more today.

treys fourth practice was horrendous. Lol it's early stage in camp, there is nothing to worry about at this point. We don't even know the intention of each play. All we know if someone caught it or not each play, essentially worthless data on how they're actually running the offense to what Kyle wants. Lol

there is literally nothing to worry about at this point, at all. For any of the QBsYou're just stressed out because you want Trey to start.

Yup. It's pretty obnoxious . Detracts from any sort of meaningful discourse

You know better. You don't go to a message board for meaningful discourse.

Agree 💯%, it's camp and every reporter has their bias. I'm not making conclusions until I see both play in preseason with my own eyes. I'll think for myself.

Thats what i am afraid of.
We will miss out on Lance potential and his physical abilities while giving purdy the job.

I hear ya. Look if Brock has that ability to be elite and maintain his crazy play from last yr, I'm all aboard. If he turns into a pumpkin and the reality of what he really is Jimmy g 2.0…then what the F are we doing here? The whole point on moving off JG was to get more. We will see, it's still early

Of course it's an opinion… but take a look at this thread, reddit, twitter, or any other outlet. When someone lists the numbers (objective) there are droves of fans asking for context (subjective).

And those same fans a lot of the time will cry bias because those subjective judgements conflict with each other and the fans' own preconceived ideas. That's why you constantly see groups of people say 'x has an agenda' or 'y doesn't like this player because of this or that'. It's their own bias coloring their opinion.

Yep. With his scrambling ability, he puts a ton of pressure on the defense.
And he did the best back shoulder fade I saw a 49ers QB did in a while in the pre-season game against the Packers last year.
I don't remember who the receiver was but that was a superb two point conversion execution.
