Brock Purdy was the clear cut No. 1 QB on the field today with Trey Lance separating himself in the red zone today with his TD.

Darnold had a few nice throws in team drills but almost being picked off twice in the red zone knock him down a peg.#49ers | #FTTB

He's a young player who can grow. We have three of them. If he's 90 percent of what he was and still the best QB on the team then he should start. That's what we 'owe' this Super Bowl quality roster. Give them the best chance to win.

Jake Moody ended practice by drilling a 60-yard FG — dead, solid perfect.
He was 5 of 6 with makes from 33, 38, 48, 53 and 60. He missed from 43.
Can he do this when the pressure Is on? 🤔 I sure hope so.

And now make that FOUR reporters who said Purdy was the best QB today, compared to ONE*** who said he wasn't.
*** = the one was Grant Cohn

Lol what?
Lombardi also said Brock had a great day. So far the only person I see saying Brock did poorly is Cohn and him saying that may as well be a good sign at this point.
Brock could go 2-15 and Lombardi would say he had an up and down day and those two completions were all world throws.
Yeah but conversely Cohn hates whoever is the "starting" QB atm. He's a dumb ass like that.

A player who's really standing out in the pads: Marcelino McCrary-Ball. Shanahan will undoubtedly give him flak for dropping the INT today, but McCrary-Ball looks excellent in coverage (had another PBU) and is getting looks with the first-team. Remember, that third LB is open

We saw this go back to the CFP, he hit a 59 yarder, that would have been good from about 64 or so. He touched the net on a 59 yarder.

"As long as he's confident with it and it doesn't hurt, then he definitely can be a hell of a player."

I'm glad he was standing behind the podium because he was definitely hiding his erection
