Also what is my bias? That I don't like to see a young QB ripped without merit? Guess I'm biased for both of them then.

Never heard of being a Stan?

Lmao idk what a "Stan" is either. I keep seeing "Trey Stan" and "Brock Stan" and imagine it's something bad but it sounds so ridiculous that I haven't bothered to ask.

lol started with Eminem song Stan. Basically crazy obsessed fan.

I'm not going to list all the stuff he's done to sway your opinion but if you look around you'll see plenty of people spot the bias you seem to think he doesn't have.

As for Cohn he adds a lot of interesting tidbits as part of his rants. I've said for years that if he just kept his bias out of his reporting he could be one of the better beat guys for the 49ers because he's not afraid to speak his mind.

Idc about replies on twitter, I actually watch his content

I like the first one better. Lol maybe eminem used Stan back then for the same slang.

Lombardi also said Brock had a great day. So far the only person I'm saying Brock did poorly is Cohn and him saying that may as well be a good sign at this point.

You counter the argument of somepone being a brock homer with a quote of the nr1 brock homer?

Dude, you are doubling down on being wrong, lol. Lombardi is far better and unbiased than Grant Cohn, who is a guy who just says outlandish s**t to get clicks from people dumb enough to engage with his terrible hot take garbage.

I see you're still staning for Lombardi…that's not the Lombardi you want to fight for.

Both Cohn and Lombardi let their biases enter their breakdowns. They're just on opposite ends of the bias cycle. Super clear if you read their stuff back to back and then compare to other reports.

You have completely let your bias color your judgement. Comparing Cohn to Lombardi is just further and empirical proof of this (not to mention that it is hilarious). WTF is staning?

That explains everything, lol. The problem with twitter is that it is a limited format that contains almost no context. Try watching his videos, there are at least three pro Trey videos to one where he is critical of him. Man, Twitter just flat out sucks and it would be a better world without that echo chamber cesspool of group thinking twits, thankfully that idiot man child Elon Musk is doing his best to kill it. No, I have seen it around here, but it is something that I have never heard anywhere else.

I pretty much only watch Maiocco and Lombardi

If I ever got the impression that Lombardi was biased to the degree Cohn and others have shown to be, I'd stop following him, but he's not, he's very objective

He used to be. He's not anymore. Like I said before maybe it's because Cohn and his fanboys give him a hard time but he's definitely biased in his reporting now when it comes to the QBs.

Nah I follow all his content and he isnt

Check any of his tweets and see if anyone else calls him out on it.

The problem is that his mind is s**t, and all he does is say contrarian things to get clicks. Lombardi is far and away superior to that twit Cohn. If you judge anyone by twitter, that's your mistake, that place is jam packed with idiots and knee jerk reaction. It will poison your mind.

The problem is the responses to Lombardi's tweets that Genus is referencing to* are nearly exclusively from incredibly biased people (the Trey Lance nutters for lack of a better term, lol). Lombardi is objective, but he does offer some subjective analysis, because there's practically no way around it. It's certainly not colored by some kind of anti-player x bias.

Some readily available examples^

I honestly don't know if I have ever heard an Eminem song all the way through, I am not a fan of Rap. The closest thing to Rap I listen to is Rage Against the Machine. Lol, that doesn't apply here, I am for real one of the guys who doesn't give a f**k which qb starts. I just want the best one out there, and it is indisputably Brock right now. I was one of the original guys who wanted Trey to be the pick even before we made the huge mistake of trading up to three, you can look in the Trey thread and see it. I thought he'd have been there are our 12 pick. He's just had bad luck with the injuries, and he definitely is not the dynamic, instinctual runner that I thought he was coming out. I think the team overestimated how ready he was for the NFL too, and two years of injury have made it to where he hasn't shown much progression as of yet. The reality of the NFL is that you only get a limited amount of chances to show what you can do, teams won't wait around forever for you to start pulling your weight, no matter what the excuse for it is. I think that the improvement he has shown so far, if it continues, lands him the qb 2 spot, and the opportunity to stick around and keep working towards actually competing for the starting spot in the future. That is what I hope personally. Though it might involve Trey reworking his contract so we can afford that scenario.

Maybe that's the disconnect - I watch Lombardis videos and I've never felt he was anti Trey or favoring one guy. I've heard him talk highly of Trey a bunch. I don't really follow anything on Twitter - I just recently look up 49ers stuff on there to get updates on camp, outside of that - I've never used it. It's a colossal waste of time and morons.

i dont get the point in keep doing this

Purdy is the starter the team is clear in words and actions why are we doing this?

It's so funny because Lombardi likes trey a lot. He predicted correctly that sf would draft him, and has made countless videos batting away ridiculous criticisms of trey. But if he says that trey struggles in the short game (which others have said as well), then he's biased and hates trey lol
