Half that money next yr is his regardless if he's here or not. So bringing up the $10M is pointless. They only save $5M and that s**t goes right to filling the position you just opened by moving him.
Again you're not keeping a $10 million back up QB. No one does that unless of course you wanted to bring in Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady. But even Zach Wilson's days are numbered. And again we are looking for cap space to keep our own players.

Yeah and despite Wilson's attitude issues and his sample size of playing 20+ games the Jets are still not ready to move off him. And the reason for that is it makes no sense to move him right now.

What don't you understand about having $5M in dead money? You're complaining about $10M or whatever is pointless. HALF that cash is on the books NO MATTER what you do. You THEN are paying for a backup to replace your open spot at backup. More than likely it's not someone with years of experience with Kyle like Lance.
I don't know how I can make it any more clear for you. Again I don't hear you complain about paying our backup $14M last yr
