lol proof Cohn just says whatever to get people talking about him, he doesn't believe half the stuff out of his mouth. He's like a slightly less delusional Alex Jones. Hahahah

I appreciate Cohn's ability to re-evaluate his thinking based on new information. He may have thought Purdy was the "truth" in January, but has wisely been open to changing his mind based on what he's seen in camp.

Valuing practice over live bullets seems unreasonable.

And Purdy was in rehab and ramp-up up till the start of training camp. If my math is correct, that was 16 days ago. He still have 29 days to get back to form before the season starts. In another word, he still have plenty of time.

No one with the right mind should think Brock is anywhere close to 100% at this point.

After Purdy wins two playoff games and gets injured, he reevaluates what? Lol he just got bored in the off season and needed to get more clicks while news wasn't out. So he chose the most controversial topic and rides it till the season.

Fellas, on a different note and not football related, but I'm not sure if anyone heard about the wildfires going on in Hawaii right now. Very similar to what you guys faced from the California wildfires. I don't know anyone's religious beliefs nor am I asking anyone without beliefs to do anything they don't want to. But for those that do, could you guys please say some prayers for those on Maui. There's been a lot of death, lost homes and tragedy. I appreciate all of you.
Mahalo 🤙🏾

I was just talking about this with my family over dinner. Heart breaking - I hope you haven't lost any friends or loved ones. Just devastating :/ My family and I are hoping and praying - will be donating to services to help out the locals.

I think tank, he knows he has a rep for turning it over, so it is a point of emphasis, he may be working to keep those down more than anything. So you may be correct. But progress is progress, that seems like his weak spot and he's working at it.

I hope the 49ers, USC, & Oregon donate a lot. Tons of Hawaiians love those programs and attend them.

It's sure as hell better than him turning the ball over 3000 times in 50 games.

imo, we aren't expecting him to be a franchise guy like we are with Brock/Lance, so we want him to be a really good game manager if he's in. Don't turn over the ball, convert downs, be efficient - Alex smith style but with a little more emphasis on chunk plays. If he can do that, he would be a n ideal back up and the best 3rd stringer in the league.
I think it's kinda funny that when Brock played them in a game, he diced up their defense. Then he plays them in practice, he struggles. Lol

He also was in the flow of things and not coming back from UCL surgery

The consensus of the people watching is he is way behind Lance and Brock in terms of processing. That is what he needs to spend all year working on from the bench and in practice.

Another thing is if Darnold starts games they have to pay him an extra 7 or 8 Million I believe. Why would they add to their salary cap when he is not an upgrade over Trey?

I said before that the only way Darnold should ever be QB2 is if he has a way better training camp than Trey. If it's close at all they should go with Trey because financially it makes more sense and secondly Trey is guaranteed to be here 2 more years barring a trade. Whereas Darnold is on a 1 year deal. And if you want to add a 3rd reason, What they invested in to get Trey.

Once we put in our best players and gameplay an opponent is where Brock will shine. Remember, he ain't the starter because of his immense tangible talent to where he can shine in these scrimmages by physically overpowering his opponent. Brock is QB1 largely due to what is in between his ears and once we game plan and play all our 1s vs their 1s he will then look like Brock. Talent shows up in these scrimmages but preparation shows up in games
Apparently I was under a rock the last few hours, well now that Trey is starting the game I guess everybody can stop cryin' like a damn baby.

Honest question man, do you read camp reports or just what's posted here?

Several guys talked about how few aggressive throws Sam has attempted in camp. Even the Raiders reporters noted it during these two practices.

Less turnovers is great of course but if you're just playing captain checkdown and you've been called "greatest thrower of the football"…feels like you're not using your abilities as well as you could.
