Guess that's out the window!!!
I've never seen so much drama/whining about the back up QB not getting enough reps. Lol lmfao!!!
Why not just come out and admit it that you guys hope Purdy gets hurt so you can see Lance play and be the guy. Thats pretty much the only way he be thee guy for the 49ers.
This is why I hope and pray they just end this unnecessary project and just trade Trey Lance already.
Who the hell you talking to with that nonsense?
Everyone that's whining about the current situation. It's frickin day 3 and people are upset/whining about Trey Lance not getting enough reps. My god people need to relax. Haha
Thinking Trey needs more reps than 55 game starter Darnold or career backup with still more starts than Purdy isn't somehow having any issue with Brock.
I have always supported Brock. My biggest thing is getting the most information on Brock and Trey possible. I wanted to see them compete on the same field so the team can make the best decision possible.
We know who Darnold is. We know who Allen is.
I want to make sure when we look back on our decision 5 years from now we're not regretting it.
It's really not that deep. I've said all along if Brock shows he's 100% healthy and back to the guy we saw last season and Trey doesn't make a huge leap playing with CMC and Kittle and the other guys then I hope Brock never misses a snap the rest of his career unless he's enjoying a blowout win from the sidelines fully healthy.
Seems like there is a group of fans who think you can only support one guy. That's definitely not me but I do want the team to make an educated decision with the most information possible. Not make a hasty decision.
These are extreme analogies so I don't want to hear about it but we did miss out on Mahomes for Kirk Cousins, missed out on Josh Allen for Jimmy G.
We better ensure Brock is the Mahomes/Allen version.
We know this is how things work around here. To speak positive of one is construed as hate and wishing for failure of the other.
You're 100% right. Lance was the starter last year before injury. Brock had too much success to write off. We don't know what a healthy Lance would've looked like by the end of the year but the point is, they believed in him enough to be the guy last year, so it only makes sense he'd be the next man up. I also think if he's willing to work with us to stay and continue developing with a reasonable deal going forward, we should 100% do it. But for this year at least, a trade makes no sense to me. We need our QB room as strong as possible to ensure we can weather any unfortunate incidents.
I absolutely love both players. Both are extremely high character and very talented in different ways.
Having both here makes this team better and makes me feel a whole lot less worried if anything happened to Brock.
