Brock is the "leader in the clubhouse" but "nothing has been settled there yet" is what I heard Kyle said. Brock is the 1 but he has to hold off Trey and Sam to lock it down prior to week 1

we don't play meaningful football, for let me check here.. 6 weeks
I figure he can stack a couple bad weeks, if he's knocking rust off, as long as he rounds into shape by mid to late Aug, no problem

Are you actually disagreeing with what I said? Unless Purdy isn't healthy or bottoms out, he's going to be the starter 'heading into the yr'. He's not in a QB competition at this time. He's taking all the first team reps, and the team is planning around him. It's not changing because he's struggling with rust in Day 4 of camp, lol.

My point is he doesn't get to stack back days either. He's not a highly paid vet who's accomplished much of anything.

I never said anything was changing in July. He doesn't get carte blanche to play poorly though.

Again he doesn't get to stack bad days. I'm not even talking about right now. If he continues to struggle then that's an issue. Plain and simple. He's earned the right to be QB1 right now, he hasn't earned the right to play poorly for any extended amount of time.

Coach is smart enough to make the right call. Nothing will be given to Brock nothing to Trey. Brock is the 1 until otherwise noted. All the players understand this. We don't have a Brees, Rodgers or Manning here so the starter is a work in progress but Brock is the "leader in the clubhouse"
