I find it hilarious and annoying at the same time that almost every person there has different stats for each player. How hard could it be to count throws?

I think the reason is some reporters count 7 on 7 & 11 on 11 whereas others only 11 on 11.

More relevant I think is some plays are deemed 'sacks' so a dead play (but the defender can't actually tackle the QB) but play will often continue - so some reporters will count that play as a completion/in completion whereas others won't count the play as in a proper setting it would be a sack.

Yeah, I think the second part is the biggest variable. I'd prefer that each person listed that out because getting sacked does matter. Lol I understand the completion still is a rep and all of that but I'd like to know when that stuff happens, as a fan.

if you follow the play by play tweets coming out....you cant come up with the stats that are being reports at the end of the day....so lots of stuff out there.....

One guy reports a batted pass as 0-1 one guy reports it as 0-0 because the play was dead. Brock had one today that some are reporting as 0-1 others as 0-0 due to PI.

The stats are all over the place.

You can also subscribe to PFF scores for training camp. Only $99.99 per team.

I'd rather a bunch of us go in on one and split it. Then we all just share the login. Lol

There's no such thing as PFF scores for training camp. That's ridiculous.

And one guy hasn't thrown vs a defense since week 2 of last season and other was in the NFC championship game throwing. Trey should be more rusty than Brock.

I will nominate or 2nd your nomination

I see some haven't seen 9moons mock draft

The quoted tweet that mentioned EM was from last season… but you had to click it to see the date. It wasn't visible in the linked screencap.

I think this whole saga confirms what I have often said; never share or quote, Rich Madrid.

cause Trey has that big big arm

Let's hope he has the accuracy and consistency to go along with his big big arm.

i think for Trey its more about timing than anything.

What's insulting is people ignoring pretty important context about training camp because they're concentrating on a tweet from last season.

And no that tweet doesn't argue against my point. Because the checks at the line and the little things don't change if you have stars out there with players, if anything it makes the completions and big plays easier.

You can still draw a defender offsides with CMC in the backfield vs TDP. You can still go through your progressions with Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle and CMC out there vs Conley, Jennings, Dwelley and TDP...it just improves your odds of success on that play.

But thanks for playing.

Better surrounding players improve production, but not necessarily the individual play of the QB. That's what he's talking about by process. The tweet was in direct response to someone making the argument you keep making about needing to see Trey with all the stars so it can be a 'fair' competition. It's horses**t that people who live and die by basic stats can't get beyond.

Apparently Lance blew another 5 yard pass today to deebo in the redzone. He was after practice throwing that route numerous times to practice it. He sailed it though, didn't go into the ground. He also had a fumbled snap. A few people have said that his rushing TD was potentially a sack but that it's no touching, his speed looked good though.

Overall he had a really positive day. I'm just curious why he struggles with those short passes.

I wonder why he does that - is it a mechanics thing? He was rolling right.

No his run TD was pressured from a DL, it wasn't a sack.

brock tossed a short pass in the dirt the other day. Jimmy has don't it numerous times in his time here. People want to pump up stuff for one guy and disregard others when it happens

But it has been a recurring issue with Trey. I think his inability to hit the easy stuff is why he isn't starting yet. I don't get why he can't hit the easy throws with consistency. It's good to hear that he's playing better, the real test is the preseason games. I hope they let him start at least one game so we get to see him against a defense besides ours.

The Zach Wilson syndrome.

The guy is do panicky in the pocket it's crazy. All the arm talent in the world can't save him if he's scared to death out there.

Or you can just learn to take what every reporter says with a grain of salt, and how to decipher what's subjective opinion and what's objective facts in their posts.

Adam Schefter got put on blast for his comments about Johnathan Taylor recently, I know many in here take his comments as gospel, and part of me doesn't blame them because I did too, but no writer/reporter/content creator is truly unbiased.

Might not even be a product of bias, at least when it comes to evaluating play on the field. It's a subjective concept that also depends on knowledge of the position… which obviously is going to vary from person to person.

Schefter's reporting should be taken as credible, because he isn't pulling reports out of thin air… including when team's may feed him misinformation. When he steps out and offers his opinion based on his reporting is a good time to be skeptical.

My point was to say that you shouldn't rely on one reporter/writer/TV personality/former player/podcaster or what have you… and believe whatever they say as undeniably true.

Schefter was always someone I believed to be a credible reporter, but I believe recently it's been well documented that he's just as capable of reporting misinformation as much as he reports true information. I believe you have to think this way about Schefter now, as opposed to believing everything he reports is true.

I listen to Lombardi, as well as Cohn, and all of the 49ers content creators. Most of the time I think Cohn is just posting stuff for clicks, but every once and awhile I think he says something a lot of 49ers reporters are afraid to say.

Does that mean I think highly of Cohn? Absolutely not.

So just because you usually don't like Rich Madrid's opinions, that doesn't mean everything he says is wrong.

I definitely agree with what you're saying in general… especially about using multiple sources, and the idea that someone who may be wrong often can be right at times as well.

I'm just saying in regards to Schefter, if he's reporting something you can believe he heard it from a credible source. Why the information was given to him is a different question. You can see people rejecting this simply because Schefter may report something people don't want to hear, or he's offering an opinion that ended up incorrect. What isn't happening is Schefter is making up reports because he has an axe to grind (example: negative reporting about Lance because he's mad that he didn't accurately predict the 49ers would draft him. Just sheer nonsense.)
