Shanahan + Young would be like fishing with dynamite.

Young and Kyle.
What about a Lance and Harbaugh option?

Bill walsh + anyone. That's the option. I'll take that one. This guy built kenny anderson from the ground up and created the most dominating offensive scheme in modern football.
Shanny gets stats from his qbs but who has he really built? No disrespect.Hes spent the last two years blowing up his "fqb". Lol.

Maybe post-Walsh tutelage, but drafted by Neanderthal Harbaugh? No thanks. Montana would probably be a bust.

I recall Alex legit being a bust, until JH showed up

I'm assuming the HC gets each QB as a rookie:
Gotta go Brock with Walsh because Walsh didn't need the strongest arm but he did need accuracy and a maniacal approach to QB mechanics, details and timing. High football IQ and just above average mobility.
Kyle doesn't really give af about QB mechanics so Steve Young would never become what he was under Walsh+. He'd be much closer to Tampa Bay Steve than league MVP 49er Steve. Plus he'd probably clash with Kyle. Similar personalities.
And Harbaugh would certainly waste Joe Montana's skill set.
Jeff Garcia had some of the worst natural mechanics I've ever seen.

Alex was already showing signs of turning the corner with Mike Johnson at OC in late 2009. He snapped after getting booed off the field for Carr and unbusted himself.

signs is good, but I recall Harbs pounding the heck out of his shoulder pads before every start and preaching the ball security philosophy. He darn near led the league in int %, and if you watched rook Alex, that's a darn miracle

When you never throw a contested ball and just take sacks it isn't very impressive.

Those steps happened once he got to Andy Reid.

Joe Montana+Bill Walsh. They were almost the perfect combo. Joe understood his system and had the field vision and cool to execute it. This might surprise some but I would also consider John Unitas. He played in the era when QBs called their own plays. He was the master during his time.

The poll was fairly obvious when I saw it on twitter but even in this change I think it's fairly obvious and that's Kyle and Steve.
I know people will point to Kyle choking as a way to knock him but does anyone actually think that if Kyle had Steve Young(or Joe Montana from the twitter poll) as his QB vs the Chiefs in 2019 that we're not walking away with the W?
Same in 2021.
We have at least 2 SB wins with Kyle if all that happens is we change QBs. Last season is impossible to tell given how the last game ended but I'm still expecting a W at season's end when it's all said and done.
Shanahan's "choke" job in the SB was a result of his QB failing to make plays which were there to be made(and the defense suddenly losing all their mojo) but Harbaugh's choke job in the SB was bringing in a more talented team and coming out like crap and needing a crazy blackout to get their stuff in order and still made awful coaching decisions in the end of the game. Out of the coaching choices he's the one who is worse imo.
