I went with Young over Montana just because the coaching difference was so significant, and one needs to score to win.
What I don't like about Harbaugh being in this poll is that he's not the OC, and despite him being an HC just as much as Bill and Kyle, he didn't call plays like they did, so it isn't an accurate comparison IMO.
If it's Harbaugh with Gary Kubiak at OC and Joseph Montana at QB, that could be something. With Gregory Roman, totally different.

Harbaugh could never put together an elite offensive staff. It'd always be a 2nd rate OC.
Answer is clearly Young and Shanny. Young in todays game would be unstoppable.

No doubt if it was fully developed Steve Young, he'd kill this league today. If he was Tampa Bay Steve he'd probably bust without those meticulous years and years of development and discipline by Walsh. He was a hot mess when he entered the league.
