welp i say we bring back that thread,, you know, the one with all them letters

Met Man, I am stunned there are spreads so early. We should bet the ranch on 49ers as single digit home favorites to this Arizona team, which looks like a dog
DraftKings released spreads on the entire season and every team—different times for sure. Remember that you did not know the spreads for the week until the paper came on Monday morning.

Look ahead lines are not a great bet considering the variables at play between now and then, most notably potential injuries.

True, but they are great for survivor pools to somewhat predict when to use teams. Also, a great tool if no injuries or issues and lines are drastically off. Are the in-season ones inflated?

Not a bad idea to use them for survivor pools as you mentioned.

I'm not sure id I'd describe in-season lines as inflated. They will change throughout a week based on where people are placing money, so I tend to think getting a bet in early in the week is usually a good play. Obviously these look ahead lines can change significantly by the time whatever game is played based on actual results and current state of the rosters.

The 49ers are a heavily bet team as well, and that can also affect value.
