Amp Lee I believe was earlier. The right answer is Derek loville and Terry Kirby. Both were mediocre at best.

I liked Loville and Kirby. They didn't ask for millions like Watters did.

Kirby was good player. You could win with Terry Kirby.

I'm guessing because gold was discovered in 48 but it took a while for news to get out (no cell phones or social media yet) so people started moving to the state looking for gold in 49.
Or because 48er sounds weird I don't know

I havent looked but didnt we have some foreign guy on our team in the 2000s that won a medal? Not the fullback guy (Haybe?) but think he played the dline. cant think of his name.

Well it is tricky......

Technically there is at least 2 49ers that have won Medal at the olympics but only 1 of them would actually be thought of as a 49er.

My incorrect guess, is due to the USA skipping the olympics that year..... Nehemiah would have almost certainly got on the podium....he probably would have set a record..... but he never got a shot due to the boycott.

It was not the 2000s.

Everyone will say ooooh yeahhhhh....duh!..... I forgot about that. Almost everyone that is an older fan will remember they celebrated one of them during a primetime game.

The other one....ehh.... you likely have be 60+ years old and have a deep general NFL knowledge because the guy is not really a 49er, though he was on the team for a month or so.
