My incorrect guess, is due to the USA skipping the olympics that year..... Nehemiah would have almost certainly got on the podium....he probably would have set a record..... but he never got a shot due to the boycott.

Everyone will say ooooh yeahhhhh....duh!..... I forgot about that. Almost everyone that is an older fan will remember they celebrated one of them during a primetime game.

The other one....ehh.... you likely have be 60+ years old and have a deep general NFL knowledge because the guy is not really a 49er, though he was on the team for a month or so.

Who founded the 49ers?

I know this one because someone, maybe him, around that time uttered a phrase like, "Go first class or don't go at all," with respect to stuff in general, but it was applied to the 49ers. I read it in a kids book, and the guy's name stuck with me.

It was once swore that Bill Walsh wanted Steve Dils over Joe Montana.. one of his original scout swore that he'll take it to his grave that Bill Walsh wanted Steve Dils..

I thought it was Steve Fuller, who was picked at 23, and then Walsh picked James Owens at 29 and Montana at 82.
