Obvious hot take for the day: This is our year to win it all.

No Homer. This year is the best chance the Niners have to win the Super Bowl. If we fail to win, we will have questions about Aiyuk (can we keep him), the QB position (assuming it is the cause of our downfall),and maybe even questions about the viability of keeping Shanny (I personally think we should but the world is a crazy place).

Debate it.
Health. It starts and ends there. If this team does not lose key players to health issues it will play for a Super Bowl.
Honestly, it seems like we have to win it this year or we need one of our QBs to legit be a top 5 guy, because our roster becomes extremely expensive starting next year and each subsequent year. We're going to start losing major pieces after this season. It must be now. Save some cap money for a mid season trade and go all I. For this season.
Every year was supposed to be our year.

Year 3: blew 10 point lead in superbowl
Year 4 : everyone injured
Year 5: blew lead vs rams.
Year 6: Purdy injured

I'll believe it when Kyle finally takes us over the top. Im not getting my hopes up.

Year 5 is like a milder version of Year 4.....

In my opinion, health and QB have been our biggest issues.

Kyle has been trying to win with a non top 5 (hell, 10/15?) QB and nearly getting it done.

Bottom line is if Purdy/Lance can be 20% better than Jimmy, and we maintain health at our important spots we should be able to win the bowl.

Unfortunately we don't have a Joe Burrow to carry us.

Lots of people seem to know that Kyle is really good, but almost nobody is good enough to overcome a QB that can't quite cut it.

Pretty much it.
You'd think so with all the talent this team has at It's disposal.

Health Is wealth, and unfortunately for us, this team can't seem to stay healthy for too long.

I'm not saying he's a terrible coach. He has his strengths. But I question his decision making, specifically during big games. Which is why I question whether he can take us over the top. Just look at last years nfc championship game.

1. Failed to challenge the catch during the eagles first drive.
2. In a hostile environment, on the road, with a late round rookie in his eighth start, calls a play where the back up tight end blocks their best pass rusher.
3. Even after all of that they're only down 14-7 right before the half. Usually Kyle is conservative in these types of situations. Did he take it into the half to regroup? Instead, with a 4th string qb he decides to air it out' creating a turnover' giving the Eagles a 21-7 lead before the half, rendering the game over.

This wasn't the only time. It's happened over and over again with Kyle in big moments.
Like Harbaugh used to say....don't tell me, show me.
If we do win it all this year. Imo purdy has the chance to be alone with mahomes in the elite elite category. For us to win it in year 2 he will have to play out of his mind well.

The talking heads won't see it until he's close to winning a second one but if he wins it this year I firmly believe it will be him and mahomes at the top.

Teams built like us have historically hit their heads against the wall several years in a row before eventually breaking through. The 2002 Bucs, the 2000 Ravens, etc. Defensive teams are always competitive, but they need everything to go right at least once. But if they remain competitive, eventually it happens.

This may be one of our last chances though with this team.
