The 49ers signed CB Terrance Mitchell to fill the last open spot on their 90-man roster. Mitchell, a Sacramento native who played at Oregon, is a 31-year-old with 9 career INTs. He'll compete for depth at DB, where SF currently doesn't have rookie Darrell Luter Jr. available

The Terrance Mitchell signing is another tea-leave suggesting that the #Patriots will play more zone next season. 61.5% of his coverage snaps were in zone last year, per PFF.
