All these tweets and reports and Podcast and whatever really turned my expectations up. Seems like all of the good things I was hearing and reading about went completely opposite for the whole team. Just not what I'm use to seeing outta this team, hopefully they make some changes tomorrow. I'd love to see them bring in another veteran CB or O-lineman.

I don't know what good corner is out there which is a position I'm not really worried about but one things for sure I'm acting like a vulture come cut down day and plucking up olinemen
I was trying to think of something to be positive about after watching the game...no major injuries, I guess? Otherwise...
Anyone have snap counts for the game?

I had a good seat for the game, that was my positive lol, also, that it was a pre-season game

We had a dream team last year, sigh, we shall see what happens. I sure missed Gould today lol. :/

s**tty O-Line. Even against the Raiders reserves, it was horrible.
And the defense was bad, really bad.
The defense was good in pre-season last year even with the reserves.
It was a s**t show even on special teams.
One of the worst games I see the Niners play under Shanahan in pre-season.
At the end of the day, who cares it's just pre-season but still, being this bad is really surprising.
I was hopeful after that drive with the TD..looked like some rhythm there..but then 🫠

Fixed.

If you are going to point out that the raiders were playing their reserves than it is only fair to point out that we were playing our reserves as well.
What I observed in the game yesterday was the 49ers were not playing or coaching to win the game and the other team were playing and coaching like they were fighting for a playoff spot. Were there things to take away from the game? For sure. But it is pointless to get so worked up over a pre season game that means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.
It definitely felt like the Niners were there to just play football and leave where it felt like the Raiders were trying to win like a game actually mattered. I think the biggest surprise for me was that even without the starters usually our defense holds up pretty well to see them put up 30+ points was kind of a shock and I really expected Lance to kind of take over and just run the game but I know we're office of line wasn't great, we'll just have to see how things progress in the next few weeks at least JR Brown, and Ronnie Bell both looked good. Hopefully Jake Moody gets those misses out of the way and can start to hit some kicks. I think it'll be significant for him to hit his first one.

Yep all the preseason games will be forgotten about after the first game of the season.

Who's got bunch of excellent plays? We haven't had a QB make a bunch of "excellent" plays in forever.

I never said he had a great day today. Overall the whole team looked awful but it's preseason.

People giving me s**t about bad throws being bad throw's regardless of the outcome of the throw, need to keep that same energy with everyone. That's my point…Stats don't tell the whole story either, today is proof of it.

Purdy played consistently well last season. People are willing to give him a pass on a few dropped interceptions.

Lance has never played consistently well. People are going to think his near interceptions are less likely aberrations.

Having these opinions isn't hypocrisy.
Yeah, Lance and Purdy have had very few opportunities - yet one has looked exponentially better than the other. So I give Brock a benefit of the doubt, because he's shown what he's capable of. Lance hasn't done that.

if/when he does play well, he will start to get that too.

it's just one game, not the end of the world, but Lance did look worse than I expected. His supporting cast didn't do much to help him but also didn't help himself.

Lance has played in what 3 full games in his career lol?

Again people run around here tossing out stats like QB rating comp % YPA like that's all that matters, especially with Sam. now that s**t doesn't matter. Shocking lolZ

bad throws are bad throws, regardless of the outcome…if you can talk about them with one player, it should apply for everyone else all the same. If not then your credibility as being objective is crap.

acting like anyone gets the benefit of the doubt off of 170 passing attempts is ridiculous…good or bad.

The problem is this team has NOT proven in this era that QB2 will not be required during the season for a prolonged period of time. You can't play to be fearful but facts are facts until proven otherwise. Lack of play or not is Trey the one you want in for three or four games if required and where the division crown might ride on it. I've been with Trey as the pick all along but even I am waking up this might be a mistake.
