Brock Purdy's leadership was evident on that drive when he completed those passes to Deebo Samuel at the line of scrimmage and then willed Deebo to run hard and gain 39 yards after the catch. Can't teach that type of leadership.

This guy is so ridiculously funny.
That is all he can come up with right now, I suppose.
He's not wrong about the observation that Brock threw two very short easy passes and Deebo did all the work there. Nothing impressive from Brock here.
His next pass was sweet to Jennings loved that.
And his slant pass to Aiyuk was sharp but zero pressure and wide open and not an impressive throw or anything.
Brock certainly poised as he always is on that drive. But nothing to get excited about.other than the fact that his arm looks good after the elbow injury and he looks ready to go.
If Trey had that same drive these things would be pointed out by many of you and there wouldn't be such enthusiastic praise for completing 3 of 4 basic and short screens/throws to wide open superstar receivers. And rightfully so as I would say hey those throws are nothing Brock can't do.
Here we go with the "If Trey had this" or "If Trey had that" talk.

Isaia Oliver missed a tackle. This is why he on the bubble. Likely won't make the team.
he will. he'll be back up nickel / special teams
Doubt it. He's not looking good at all. Plus, we have way more options at nickel. Plus, he won't tackle. Sorry, he won't make it.

I don't think our defense has got a single stop this preseason so far, its pretty pathetic.
